If KTM remains an ongoing concern, they will not leave the market that is their bread and butter, ie. enduro and motocross. However, they must scale back (offload gas gas and husky) and prioritize reliability, build quality and customer satisfaction in order to overcome their current reputation and situation. Expensive bikes come with expectations.
