I was sick of it from the start. I was hoping it was a silly phase that would go away with time like most things. Then tv shows and commercials came out supporting them. There was even a show where they were trying to get sympathy for "lovers of children" the same way they did for the HMO-seggs-uals with the whole, "It's not our fault we were born this way, please accept us". The fact that the game was in development for eight years says it all. A game should spend no more than two and at the very most three years in production. Once you get past that time frame the game is going to be a disaster 99% of the time because it means the creative director will have been switched out halfway through, and overall shows that the team making it doesn’t actually have a coherent vision for what they want the game to be and how to get there. Halo infinite is a prime example of this problem.

Concord wouldn't survive even WITH brand deals. It's very clear that the art director, even IF he had major and popular brands to work with, would purposefully ugli-fy those skins. I gotta be honest. A couple points. A. I have heard the development cost has been everything from 100 million to 200 million. B. Sony bought Firewalk 8 years ago for this game. They wanted a hero shooter. C. Isn't the CEO of Sony that bought the studio no longer the CEO of sony?

They’re gonna claim the loss as a tax write off and in order to do that they have to shut it down, issue refunds, then toss it in the trash and continue as if the game never existed. When major Studios do this to TV shows or films that fail catastrophically. The people who worked on it aren’t even allowed to put it on their résumé because it has to be treated as if it just didn’t exist in order for you to legally claim it all as a loss on taxes.
