This AU is an interesting concept of being enemies on one side and bestfriends (lovers?) on the other puts into perspective the kind of show we could have gotten from Thomas Astruc. Love the show and this comic

You could argue that since marinette hates adrien, she can see chat as a potential lover, and thus, since chat will propose to ladybug at least once no matter what, she agreed due to not having a bind, however, while they do are rude to each other, marinette was acting more like chloe, i can see adrien becoming bitter because of his father, but its really hard to believe marinette would just be that much rude just because he's around, it genuinely felt like chloe when she saw marinette any moment in season 1

This was basically the same situation saw in Sailor Moon's first season, with the main characters disliking each other in civilian identities while the opposite happened in their heroic identities. Had Miraculous have taken this route they would have accused of copying.

@@Hektols actually i think in marinette's diary it says that if adrien didn't exist she would have feelings for chat, not to mention, they would have never made marinette hate adrien because even when in the original pilot, mary still simped for Felix (and was actually obvious and rejected) and Felix sped for ladybug which was obvious and rejected, i guess they decided to make their love obvious but make them oblivious rather than actually rejecting each others true self

Day 15 of school “Hey did you hear about that bakery down on Rue Gotlib?” Chloe, who surprisingly wasn’t annoying, asked adrien. “I hear they have insanely good pastries. Daddy bought some for a party and they were an instant hit!” “Yeah, i think i heard about it. The something and something Boulangerie Patisserie right?” The blonde boy replied. “The tom and sabine Boulangerie Patisserie. Yeah that one!” “What about it?” Adrien asked “You wanna go there sometime?” Chloe asked with a twinkle in her eye. “Sure, why not. Fencing doesn’t start till six anyway.” -------------- “WHAT THE FU-“ Adrien was cut off by Chloe slapping a hand over his face. The black haired girl on the other side of the counter was just as surprised. And angry. Marinette took out the box of red batter and placed it in another bag. “Your total is 6.98 euros!” The girl in pigtails said. Chloe took out a ten dollar bill and placed it on the table. “Keep the change.” She said.
