The drummers playing at the end doesn't match up with the audio - especially the straight hi-hat stomping he's doing compared the polyrhythm you actually hear.
@Lomaxxx539 жыл бұрын
nosenseofwonder There's 2 drummers at the end. If you see closely you can se the guitarist sitting in other kit.
@brenodesouza61899 жыл бұрын
nosenseofwonder ¬¬ it's recorded... 2 drums + delay. and 3 guitars at some moments of the song. it's not live.

jeez these guys never heard of looping smh

Ahhh, right - I can see that in the reflection now! Thanks for pointing that out. When I heard this on the record I was just wondering if the guy was actually stamping a dotted 8th note across the entire drum hook with his left foot and thought it was really impressive. Still sick, I was just a bit disappointed not to see him doing it in the video. Still - sounds great and the more I listen now the more it does come across like a closed hi-hat sound. Thanks again!

God if they would just add some vocals like Native this would be beyond gorgeous
@ShadowCrowX10 жыл бұрын
Their latest album Embrace has a few vocals on some tracks. Clean ones, mind you. Not like the obtrusive yelling like that guy from Native.

a lot of older mathrock musicians sound exactly like this. nothing fresh with their approach. reminds me of Foals, Adebisi Shank, Heavy Vegetable....they should have at least updated the genre like Bloc Party did with post-punk
@threedumb11 жыл бұрын
if you think enemies sound like heavy vegetable you aren't listening to enemies or heavy vegetable closely enough
@Theblob51610 жыл бұрын
Foals and Bloc Party are hardly math rock. Even these guys are pretty accessible compared to most math rock out there.
@spaceshipable9 жыл бұрын
Tim H Foals used to be mathrock but far less so now. Block party hasn't every really been mathrock.

Bloc Party and Foals sound nothing like this.
