this mission can be done in just a few minutes, if you are micromanagement-talented, react very fast right at the start and able to switch between the different group. it can be done to open all the airlocks at the same time, cleaning the station in the first 1-2 minutes. the queen still needs to be eliminated, but since the station is empty, you will need most of the time to heal your crew and gather weapons. it is a perfectionist-thing and not the most fun way to play it.

At the end (after all the aliens were dead), I'd have the people not in ESPO suits get equipped, then healed up at the Medi-bed, then grabbing something useful and bringing it to the docked ship. I excused it as the crew needing ESPO suits to breathe in vacuum, not wasting resources, and it allowed for the final video to make sense (no point in showing faces when everyone is in an ESPO suit). Shift + clicking allowed me to queue up commands, with much less micromanaging needed. Once all the gear that could be brought was on board, I brought in Squirt and that let the doors lock to finish the mission

@@Kyorisu its not a cheat, just a possibility play missions for multyplayer which ones was good, but not used well in time when game was released. btw game really have cheat codes xD

I bought this game back when i was in New York and i loved it, as it contained a lot of the Alien and H.R.Giger spirit. This was before all the "new" movies and games exploited the theme and you were lucky to find such a game. Sadly, there were few peope who LOVED it, but most people gave it a mediocre rating. On Wikipedia the game is worth only one line: genre, developer, realease date and plattform. It is a bit of a hidden gem for enthusiasts. Looks like in the end the sales numbers disagreed and it missed the right time for a sequel anyway: the years after year 2000 were dominated by different kind of games. The game surely had its pros and cons, but i would have liked to but a sequel. "To Be Continued..." :-(

@@alfonszitterbacke318 In Brazil this game came in a game magazine called cd expert, that's how I got to know this game, I played it all my childhood in the early 2000s, along with other classics of the time like Age of mythology, it's a shame that enemy infestation, at that time At that time, most games that weren't shooting or football were poorly rated.

@@ferbemas Maybe the game was not enough about action for those who expected to play a shooting game, but it was also different from many strategy games at the time. The effect of most weapons (except the rocket launcher and butcher knife?) was random and had a big influence on the mission. This could have been better, i expected a kind of crafting system system to improve weapons. Remember the mission in which you had to collect an alien tissue sample to produce a poison? Something like this.

@@alfonszitterbacke318 Yes, it's true, I think it was one of the first missions, but the mission I remember the most was the one that had to rescue a nurse from having her blood drunk by the aliens, I forget the name of that structure that trapped the guys when they were unconscious.

I loved this game, used to play it with my dad as a kid and I really enjoyed watching this series. Been trying to get it to work but all my characters die after the 10 minute mark it looks like it's some form of ancient pirating protection. How did you get it to work? Did you manipulate the files?

U can use old version 1.194 But in my 1999 i use hex-editor to drop the countdown in saved game :)

​@@ferbemas A lot of major titles were released that year (Baldur's Gate, Starcraft, etc.). The idea is those other games overshadowed Enemy Infestation, so consumers were less likely to hear about EI than they might have been in a slower year and even if they did know it existed they might not have been able to justify the cost if they had already spent or were planning to spend their money on that year's bigger releases. Even though it wasn't a huge seller, EI was apparently profitable and Micro Forté was apparently working on a sequel, but those plans were scrapped when they were offered the opportunity to make Fallout Tactics instead. If EI had been a bigger seller, it likely would've been harder to accept that offer.

Were you still able to complete the scenario? In my version, you need to get all colonists to the docked vessel to trigger a win, but it doesn't tell you that all colonists need to survive or display a "defeat" message when the aliens fully drain one of them like with similar missions. It was very confusing when I first played it as I thought maybe I was in the wrong place and tried moving everyone from the docked vessel to the docking bay and back again.
