full context the rarest item of uniques I have on this build is t4 which is much more common than t3. One of the most popular starters the past few leagues has been rf, which wants a pyre ring early or even 2, pyres are t3, and you almost always could get this ring each league start between 2-5c on day one. so I highly doubt any of these items will be any level of expensive given they are more common and this build is not going to be nearly as popular as RF has been.

Last test build of the league. I did 14 toons this league with 3 being penor brand variants; Champ/Inquis/Heiro. I was going to make my two farming builds; HoT speed autobomber for low map scour method and then maybe one of the PB’s as single target duty. I have now fleshed out this build and man I am so impressed how well it scaled into damage early on and its continuing to scale well. As you had the disclaimer about being a bit squishy between 68-80’ish I ran into that and was hesitant but then it passed and I saw this vid and got updated and then continued and it’s now coming along really well. So far the sustain is outpacing my not so ideal resists and that’s prob my plan next. Great build that does enough to settle on one build as I am totally against an all around build usually running two stated above. I was thinking I would have to go indigon and swap to manabond/mjolnir but with the changes to alt qual mana leech and how well this build is doing I think I’ll just keep going with the build as is. Great vid and content as usual.

Scion starts too far from good parts of tree so its not that great as starter class cuz its lack damage and surv at low levels which can be covered by leveling uniques as second build

Got to be honest, you made me rethink my starter. I was set on Flicker, but I will go Absolution Guardian until I have some core items and will reroll after level 90. This way I will have a chance to try the op sentinel of radiance and reroll once I have enough levels to make the switch comfortable. Srs might be stronger, but I've played it before.

Lightning Conduit of the Heavens looks like it will be absolutely insane with Spellblade, no? Only problems seem to be the hit limit for clear, but it looks like that’s a part of the gem’s quality (and you can always gem swap), and the mana cost is a bit high.

The basic ivory tower skillgem set has Divergent Spellblade selected in the primary damage link. I know it doesn't change anything significantly, but it might be worth swapping early so as to avoid stupid questions as much as possible. The cyclone in the split personality gemset also has divergent, but that's more understandable since base cyclone is changing to grant an even bigger version of the same movement speed bonus. Still might lead to dumb questions, though.

I would like to recommend considering Lancing Steel of Spraying as a potential alternative to Cyclone for the attack. With 12 base projectiles you're able to effectively hit CoC trigger cap with no investment into attack speed (you still want *some* for smooth gameplay ofc), the range it provides acts as a defensive layer, and it opens up possibilities for dual spell coc specs. There's no need for steel shards/call of steel nonsense with this transfigured version of the gem which will make it feel very smooth. I've been messing around with LS in Standard by throwing on extra projectiles instead of other supports to see how it would, in theory, feel to play and it's been delightful. Bonus: it's only a gem swap away, so nothing else really needs to change to try it out in the league.

Genetzly cyclone is orefereded because you can move at the same time but with the removed hassle of activate shard this might be way smoother now and like you said it become melee vs range, could be interesting

​@@butter_creme I agree with your original comment, but also note that he pointed out only one example of what you can drop, but three examples of what to spec into instead. To be honest, if you're not rushing sanctum then I'd also recommend switching to CoC much later. Anyway, here's a few ideas for you if he doesn't update the PoB: The leveling tree leans heavily into Leap Slam, taking the dual wield node in the lvl 24 tree (the mastery is insanely good but you need to meet the requirement), and two minion wheels in the lvl 46 tree to make increases and reductions to minion damage and attack speed apply to you. This is great for leveling speed if you know what you're doing, but if you prefer survival and damage over speed, then you can drop at least both minion wheels (the one on the far left does give in total 71% increased damage, but it costs 5 skill points and in the lvl 55 tree you path right next to Fire Walker, which for just 2 points gets you 35% increased damage, 5% cast speed and 15% fire res. If you do skip both minion wheels, then in the lvl 46 tree you can also path to the left edge of the tree from the bottom rather than the top (Holy Dominion to Devotion), it's 3 points instead of two but nets you 6% increased max life, 10 str and 10% increased ele damage instead of 20 int, which is far preferable at that point. For even more tankiness, you can forgo the dual wield wheel completely and instead grab Arcane Guarding directly above it, which with a nice ES shield will give both survival and damage (through Energy Blade). Another option is to continue up from Fire Walker to grab the 10% max life anf 5% ele res from Cruel Preparation, and continue up to Heart of Flame for a lot more damage. Most of these options you'll have to refund later, but you also have to refund the minion wheels and dual wield wheel eventually so it's not even that bad in terms of regrets (remember, you get 14-16 refund points from the campaign, depending on whether you kill Boulderback in act 9 or not).

virus comment is pretty spot on, my tree is very setup for with sole focus of sanctum, definitely delay swap to CoC(as its much less safe of a playstyle) and prioritize things like kaom's roots/ spell leech/bit higher armour scaling. I should also mention my gems are setup for oath of maji which would allow you to potentially go for either a HIGH es chest or high armour/es chest which will get you a decent energy blade while maintaining the larger life pool for higher tank levels, may need to change aura setups a bit to fit petrified blood though. this will lose you a bit on damage but completely overhaul defence as the trade off

Ashes might be worth it, between Cyclone and Energy Blade, and especially if you are using a main skill with a good quality bonus. If it doesn't turn out to be a dmg/ES increase vs greatwolf/simplex, it should still be close, and then you get the movement speed from Cyclone quality, so you can use Ashes for content where you prioritize movement speed.

You can buy blighted maps instead of doing maps, this way you gain xp the easy way and get some currency to buy gear for the build. I don't know how much are blighted maps on day 1 but still should be profitable.

I think unless you're farming sanctum like Lance, then you might be in for a rough time trying to push through T16's and getting 4 watchstones. I really want to play this but I can bet my left nut that some of the gear like ivory tower/rathpith/brutal restraint are all going to be mad expensive for the first week or so. I personally don't want to play sanctum, so I feel like I'll be stuck trying to get 4 watchstones on a squishy unoptimised build. I'm going to reroll to this after week 1 or 2 unless I make good currency week 1.

Bruh i have like 13k es but still get completely one shot by almost everything (yes im using the potion and its up constantly, my es goes down insanely fast). I had a lot of fun with this and learned quite a bit from this build, at least before split personally, I had little issues with bosses and clear but I did find some things would insta kill me, i cant figure out what it is tho, whatever eater booby mobs fire at me and some stuff in the mines, it seems like cold damage but everything is capped res ex chaos so not entirely sure, it was decently tanky using a granite instead of mana flask if you can keep up mana, then how do you deal with stuns?

A fair guide i guess but there is alot to improve on depending on the audience this is directed to. IF this is for advanced players of POE then i guess it's fine but not sure why they would need a guide like this. IF this is for newer or players with less time to spend on POE then it misses the whole first 50 levels. You have it in the POB kind of but there is so much that isn't explained or even made clear. You take Spiritual aid and other minion skills. Why? noting in the Skills or Items shows that you are even using a single golem/minion. Skills are in the skill option but doesn't come come over with what you talk in the video or have in the notes. (up to lvl 60ish) It's a nice guide if you know about it but for less knowing it's a mess. Good job non the less, just some feedback. PS I do love the Firestrom for leveling, absolute beast of a skill.

on a fresh POB putting in a 1.7 aps sword and applying the same passives gives 6.07 attack speed. will this be an issue in-game or is this a rounding error with POB? Edit: I asked Lance on stream and he said he wasn't sure why POB shows 6.07, but in game the tooltip says 6.06 so we should be fine

Hi Lance, what do you think about league starting your life stacking hexblast miner. Miners lost some mine throwing speed and kaom's spirit got gutted. Will this amazing build still be viable ? When I tried it last league, it became my favourite build of all time. Edit: I just now saw that hexblast no longer has 100% to remove hex after damaging, only 90% now. Well...

I have made a guide about the same build (but strictly optimized for Ice Spear) and it has: - more than double the damage (30M vs 13M) - 1-2k less ES (but calculated for 3.22) - actually has sizeable armour (50k) IMO your aura/buff choices are bad. Haste is a really bad aura for 50% and blood rage is completely unnecessary. I also took Iron Reflexes on the tree. Forum thread number: 3451000 (3.22 60div build PoB inside the post; the guide has 3.23 commentary)
