for those interested in seeing a public display on a smaller teslacoil here in denmark, you can find two at danfoss universe, one of them you can even touch the lightning (with a grounded glove). anyways, sad to see this place close down as i had moved to a town nearby and hoped to see the place this summer.

Last time I was at Danfoss Universe, there was only the "lightning simulator" Tesla coil, which I actually think was also build by Finn Hammer and Steve Connor. It is not really a Tesla coil experience, as its built to deliver a single strike as a real lightning strike, but it's a bit too small to make up for the atmosphere and built up of the exhibition.

Proposed fix: Put fancy chairs and free cigars inside the Tesla coil cage then invite energy executives to an exclusive tour.

I left with a sadness over a good classical museum with LOTS of hands on experiments, is now closing. My kids had a lot of fun playing with all the various induction, high voltage, static machines etc. that is available to operate there.

This legal stuff is not something i'm an expert in! But, from what I heard: They are also a power station with their water powered turbines, apparently some EU law made it illegal for them to get funds from the energy distribution network, as they were part of that/delivering power to that themself. There is properly a need to do some kind of legal split, but what good is a fine old turbine hall that actually runs, if you are not allowed to keep it is a living museum.
