Energy - No-Go (1980 7"single, NWOBHM)

My favourite track from the ENERGISED 7" EP, not as great as their later releases but stil enjoyable heavy sounds and very rare nowdays....
Enjoy this one and search for more ENERGY tracks on youtube, they were one the great NWOBHM bands that never made it and deserve to be heard as their music is unique and great!!!!!

I love this one. I found myself singing "NO GO!" one beat after the first line of the chorus. I could see someone covering this and it being big.

I follows Energy in the early 80's lots of gigs "The Marquee" Cambridge Town Hall Supporting "Eddie and the hot rods" Dingwell's Camden Lock. Surly Iian Wetherall still has all the masters. Will have to contact him to see if he could digitalise and release on CD.

Yeah n.w.o.b.h.metal days,so many good top class pre metal bands around back then,Praying-Mantis,Spider,A#z,Krokus,Tygers-of-pan-tang,April Wine,--- and then a Great 5 Piece Band from Lancaster/blackburn,also played support to Paying-Manntis at Londons Marquee and stole the show,also double billed with Mantis at the Shoulder of mutton in Hardstoff derbyshire,double headlined with Tygers-of-pan-tang in the Civic hall in Barrow-in-Furness,and the Grannery in Bristol,they almost made the very top,and just before making it SPLIT up --- as so many did.sad ---Check out the band FRENZY also on N.W.O.B.H.Metal with 7 inch Vinyl Singles ---- very pricy collectors Pieces,on the manchester SONGWRITERS WORKSHOP LABEL --- Single THIS IS THE LAST TIME + GYPSY DANCER ON THE other side,also the Yellow 7 inch Double A Side Vinyl titled THANX FOR NOTHING+WITHOUT YOU --- They had a huge Northern Circut Following of Fans,and 7 Bus Loads followed them down to Londons MARQUEE Where they Played a 2nd Gig Supporting Phill Lynotts THIN-LIZZY- Check them Out.--------- again the Blackburn/Lancaster rockband FRENZY
