The strategies of making an movie is always in a serious character and make its own way just like Bruce Lee did and same as Jackie Chan. Bruce Lee's own action films are full of violence but Jackie Chan is more on action comedy but Jackie said, "I like action film but I don't like violence". Both Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan became a good friends and a hero but sadly, Bruce was passed away in 1973.

Jackie Chan was leading freedom group and suddenly started getting shot and movie abruptly ended... bloody THE END. 😂❤️ The martial arts choreography was great and Jackie Chan was really good with that Kung Fu especially against the screaming leg bracelets daughter fighter! XD

this 13 minute scene makes you appreciate how brilliant the bruce lee choreography was. its difficult to believe the breathtaking bruce lee/chuck norris fight scene in way of the dragon was made before this
@Grandmastergav863 жыл бұрын
Jackie didn't have the sway or real life martial arts ability of Lee. Chuck is very stilted in the aforementioned fight. TBH I'd rather Bruce had fought Hwang Inn sik in the finale but supposedly Lee didn't get on with him particularly well. Speaking on NFOF, Han Ying Chieh had much greater influence over the proceedings than Jackie (who unquestionably had some input), thus the action design is archaic with some of the gimmicky nonsense which defined Han's style evident here. In fact, look at The Big Boss & Fist Of Fury, Han's influence is apparent there as Bruce was respectful of his senior (explaining why Han is credited as core action director). The reality was Bruce handled the fights he was directly involved with, there were occasional suggestions from Han, whilst Han directed the "non-Bruce" fights. Having said all of that, "reality based" fight scenes are far from the "be all and end all". I much prefer the Lau Kar Leung, Yuen Woo Ping, Venoms & Sammo Hung shapes era, those sequences require an incredibly high level of skill, far more than "reality based" fights. If you want to directly compare work from that era, look at Sammo Hung's work from the early 70's, (Hapkido in particular) the action is on par with Bruce's if not better in some respects. This illusion that Bruce was entirely leaps and bounds ahead of everyone is a fallacy, in terms of martial arts ability IRL he'd fall behind someone like Lau Kar Leung, that's not to say Bruce wasn't in any way gifted. With all that cleared up, given his age, Han busts some great shapes at one point in NFOF and is arguably the most impressive he's ever appeared on screen (alongside his appearance in Broken Oath), Chen Sing is a beast as the main villain. Jackie's physical performance is seemingly as reluctant as his character's (very meta ;)). Check out Jackie in Hand Of Death made the same year, under the action direction of Sammo Hung he shines. The same holds true with Shaolin Wooden Men (an underappreciated Jackie flick) which Chan action directed alongside Tommy Lee (not THAT Tommy Lee), he busts some superb shapes in well staged, crisp fight scenes.

I don't know about funny, but it is karma. The Chinese "collaborator" got shot down with the rest of them! In the spirit of the film it shows what to expected from the Japanese for all you've done for them. It's odd that Bruce Lee spoke against racism, but he had no problem with the anti-Japanese sentiment in his movies. It was good to see that something had been done about that in Fist of Legend Jet Li's version of Fist of Fury and again in Fearless.
@Alastarsblade4 жыл бұрын
@@tenhirankei Bruce Lee didn't agree with the anti japanese sentiment, but he went along with making Fist of Fury anyways, it's actually interesting but the two japanese actors of the first movie, Riki Hashimoto and Jun Katsumura didn't even know what the first film was about until much later in production.

He fought with the producers over the timing of this so close to Bruce’s death and many of the stars are former Bruce alumni and there was a definite bad vibe to the whole production. The more unintentional research that I do, I am releasing that Jackie Chan's rise was made possible due to Bruce Lee's death! Lee was too great, so a new star was hard to bring out. Chan's martial arts skills were not even half that of Lee's. Chan did the opposite of what Lee had done. Lee preached about philosophy and how to overcome obstacles, and Chan was a comedian. Lee taught martial arts, Chan - nothing. Lee stood up for Chinese pride, Chan - nothing. The powers that be would prefer a guy just be an entertainer and not an influencer. From background stuntman, to film star - right after Lee was killed. Kind of like Jay-Z after Biggie and Eminem after Tupac.
