I always forgive because my natural state is happiness, joy and love. Carrying anger is too much of burden for me, so I release it. @@TheFormidable1n3acceptance works better than forgiving. I am no longer giving power to people who hurt me by making them feel like they are forgiven for their misdeeds. I accept what happened to me, i accept that that person is flawed, and i also accept that their actions changed me. No one needs to forgive anyone to move on. This is something that needs to change within spirituality, having been hurt enough and badly i feel it is letting MYSELF down to shut down my pain in the name of forgiveness. I dont carry anger towards anyone in my past, accepting and not forgiving has done what it is meant to do. I am honoring myself, my emotions, and my growth by looking at my past hurt and accepting rather than forgiving.

It just takes too much energy and effort to carry the resentment. I know, I have to do "resentment clean-outs" every so often just to lighten the burden and enable myself to move on and live uncluttered. It ain't easy. Some of the troublemakers in my life try to stick like glue. When you shake them off, they may require an additional kick to exit the premises. Use however many kicks it takes.

Haha this reminded me that I used to do a “Deer & Hunter dance”. Sometimes the stage would be pitch black or lights would be blinding and I had to shoot the arrow to be caught by the other dancer.
