I watched a few episodes of the Bachelorette where Rachel selected Bryan. What was she thinking? He tried to portray himself as a successful chiropractor, which was so transparently a lie. He now claims he makes $16,000 a year now as he tries to live off of Rachel's spousal support. He's a scrub now, and he was a scrub then. GET A JOB. As a lawyer, Rachel should have gotten a prenup. Ladies, level-up!

Everyone is kind of crazy in these comments. First off when Rachel and Brian married, they were on equal footing. Brian was no bum when he met her. He was successful chiropractor in Miami. He owned a condo and lived in brickle Miami. To live in that area you have to make Around 150k a year. So he wasn’t no broke dude he was doing fairly well. Rachel on the other hand was a lawyer and she was living in her parents house and apartment around Dallas. She didn’t own no property. But she did make a good salary probably the same amount. So there was no prenup required because they were equal footing. Would have to be drafted very, very strong to protect future assets, which is rarely heard of. Most of the time of prenup protects prior assets you made before getting married. Let’s let’s say that the prenup could’ve protected future assets that Rachel would’ve made due to being the first black bachelorette and the opportunities that would have come from that. She would not have known the success she would’ve gotten, so it would be hard to predict the future assets and how that would look like. Brian, knowing that they got married on the TV show, and if she does become successful off that he would have to follow her and his career would take the back burner. His career is more brick and mortar. He can just leave and take his practice with him or his clients with him The double standards is freaking crazy when people are complaining about him getting alimony because if the roles were reversed….No one would be saying anything. Childless ex wives get alimony, half retirement, half assets, half property values, etc from their breadwinner husbands and women say nothing. and before you say anything about children, alimony has nothing to do with children, that’s what child support is for. alimony is different and calculated differently. Brian deserves the alimony because he closed his business in Miami, sold his condo in Miami, went through his savings to set up a practice from scratch in LA. In a city that has a much higher cost-of-living, much higher taxes and higher business costs as well as state taxes as well. The network and the clients he had in Miami weren’t gonna fly out to him and visit him in LA. So he took a financial loss and a step back in his career so Rachel can pursue hers. The marriage didn’t work. He filed for divorce and now he’s entitled to alimony, half her assets, half the property value for a home that was purchased during their non-prenup marriage any community property state. Just like any woman would get as well fortunately for Rachel, the marriage is only four years so she would only have to pay him for two years. If any woman has a problem with this, you’re sexist and misendristic. Woman want in equality and this is what quality looks like.

As a 44 year old man or woman, you were such a successful business person and somehow could only manage to make less than $16000 a year for four years?
