To fairly judge a game who's creator hates me, for being a customer of their market vertical : - The game stills are absolutely AETHETIC. I legit rock with the southern mythology and soundtrack. Absolutely an untapped resource for storytelling. - The game *in motion* however, doesn't look nearly toy or clay enough for the stop motion animation style they're going for, so it just looks choppy. - The platforming is absolutely barebone. The fact they even include it leaves me feeling uneasy about the rest of the platforming we didn't see. - The combat looks fine enough for either story forwarded game, which is subject to connect, or an exporing / puzzle game, which based on demo, aha no. Also, the combat, especially the boss fight, is *way* too slow for anyone whose ever played a game before. Who's idea was this?

I play tap tap games on my mobile to waste time, but not at home. I have Balatro on the mobile… sounded like a good idea, but I can’t be serious on my phone. You don’t have to agree with me, but keep it gaming. I didn’t attack you, it’s just my opinion on game combat.

Don't worry there is an option to disable it. But honestly it's so cool to have a game that emulate stop motion. That i encourage you to give it a try with the "low frame rate" first. If you buy the game.

Optimisation ? If you are talking about the frame rate it's intentional. There is even an option to disable it if it bug you or physically sickens you. Its supposed to emulate stop motion. In 12 fps. With very limited déformation and smears and blurs. Wich works great. But admitedely isn't for everyone. But the smooth option we've seen look optimised already.

It looks a lot like kena bridge of spirits and banishers of new Eden combined. Set in the Deep South of the United States. it looks very good but however though I think that these magical supernatural themed games could really benefit from a more sensational and cinematic kind of style when incorporating the supernatural elements. because just simply fighting off and banishing evil or corrupted spirits will cool looking magical powers seems a little bit too dull for the whole sorcery and magic genre of games.
