Lovely to see you again, Ayla. Many of my friends since childhood are/were ENFPs (i'm INTJ by the way & we usually attract ENFP friends). But i think all of them are type 7 and they were my best hangout friends. Thank you for the great video.

Thank you!! Happy to be seeing you again too🤗 and so glad you liked the video! That's a really interesting point about which MBTI types tend to gravitate most to each other and which Enneagram types as well -- thank you for adding to the conversation! 🤗

Nice to run into more people who find stuff like The Enneagram and MBTI fascinating! To add to this, I'm an ENFP 3. To be precise, ENFP 3w4. It's a blend I typically enjoy, though a part of me thinks it factors into why I find authenticity so important.

Yay! I'm so happy to have you here and adding to the discussion! It's fascinating stuff and I love finding new people who are interested in it too 🤗There are many ENFP 3s, in fact it was hard to decide which enneagram types to focus on for this video, but 4 and 7 seem to be most common so I went with that. Glad to have you sharing your perspective as an ENFP 3w4! Thanks for joining the discussion! 🤗

Hi, Ayla! It's great to see you posting again! And yes, I for one am loving your MBTI vs Enneagram series! Wanna hear something interesting about MBTI vs the Enneagram? INFJ a rare type, only 1-3% of the population. I have a good friend who is a philosophy professor and a Consecrated Virgin (it’s like a nun, minus the vow of obedience). According to a sister who did a survey within the order, more than HALF of all CVs are INFJs. Amazing! It figures, though, that they wouldn’t be your average women.

Thanks, Jerry! I'm so glad you've been enjoying this series, I'm excited to make more (though there are many different topics I'd like to explore, too). This is super interesting -- I love learning about how personality connects with other facets of society. Thank you for sharing! 🤗

ENFP 7w8, although my 4 is pretty developed as well. Basically my enneagram is NOT a 1. And yeah, I’m a lot like the 7 you described. I’m still sad COVID got in the way of taking the knife fighting classes I was really looking forward to.

Being 65 ADD and dyslexic, I test 4w5. Holistic spiritual psychologist. Too sensitive and miss understood. Self preserve 4. Relate more to infj, but definitely enfp. Appreciated your take on this. Continued success and hope you share more of your insights. Would like your thoughts on the 4w5 outlier. ❤😂

You're that smart, funny girl who's also distractingly sexy. 😂🤣 Anyway, your enneagram has a megaton influence on your mbti, so much so you might look like another type even when you don't do those things. I've heard that ESFPs are supposedly mistyped as ENFPs for some reason but I never am. As an 8, I'll get ESTP or ENTJ or sometimes ISFP, which I'm not sure can even be an 8, or even ISTP and I am most assuredly not that.

Thank you so much! I totally agree that the Enneagram type can shape how the MBTI type presents -- dramatically sometimes. Great points about mistyping, this gives me ideas for other videos! Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts! 🤗

Great point! There are definitely ENFP 9s -- I almost included them in the video, but wanted to keep it simple, and 4s and 7s show up more frequently. 9s are very versatile in terms of their MBTI types, so you see a wide range. Thanks for sharing! 🤗

Nice! There are definitely many ENFP 9s! I almost included 9s in this video, but there are higher percentages of 4s and 7s according to most surveys (and what I've observed), so went with that. You may enjoy my INFP video as it covers 9s🙂 I so appreciate you showing the diversity of enneagram types within ENFP! Thanks for sharing!🤗

ENFP 259 (all equal). I don't feel very represented. I might be a little too unique.

I'm so glad you brought this up! Like I say in the video, ENFPs show up across the Enneagram -- they are a very eclectic and diverse MBTI type! And of course this depiction of these specific Enneagram types, 4 and 7, is just a snapshot of how they can manifest. For example, my INFP video discusses another style of 4 that can actually be quite different (and those who are close to the middle on I and E might relate to elements of both). I'd be curious to hear about what elements within 2, 5 and 9 you relate to most. BTW, you might also be interested in my "People Pleasers" video, as it focuses on some key aspects of both 2 and 9. Thanks so much for sharing your unique perspective! 🤗

@@TrueYouSystems Well, if I had to summarize, I find myself as a chameleon, having to change myself to match the personality that is needed at a given moment. The Helper side is the heavy use of the empathy. The Investigator is the ENFP's ability to see many different outcomes at once. And the Challenger (So sorry for the mistype. That's 258 not 259. Tho, 9th is a tight 2nd place to 8) is ENFP's commitment to action following the theory of one of the opportunities seen in the Investigator. Example, read people to understand a need, anticipate a need by theorizing possible solutions, and then put a solution together and present the need filling goal. It's kinda like Christmas shopping for a family member in July (give the plan time to cook), watching what they gravitate towards while in the shops (let's say a book from a favorite author), then buying a gift similar of value in time for Christmas (a signed 1st edition copy of said book). I find this 258 trait bouncing while in my ENFP a good tool to use when I need to switch management styles on the fly or when I am DMing a game of dungeons and dragons. It has many purposes. Empthy. Understand. Act. (Again, sorry for the typo)

Interesting! Like you say, these are all traits that help ENFPs be adaptable to the person and the moment! And I can see how these traits can line up with certain enneagram types. The enneagram looks at internal motivations so multiple types can share certain traits but for different reasons. For example, 2s and 4s are both known for being empathetic, 2s because they have a strong need to be needed by others in order to feel loved, and 4s because they deeply understand emotion and honor that in others, and because they desire authenticity and seek to fully understand the depths of the human condition. Looking at the motivations behind the types might help you pinpoint your dominant type 😊 I hope this is helpful! Also cool you do d&d! I know many people who use the enneagram to create characters for their games. It's especially handy for DMs, since giving NPCs clear motivations can make them feel more real and compelling. Thanks for all the great thoughts you're sharing here! 🤗

Very informative video.Can you name any ENFP type 4 fictional characters?
@TrueYouSystems
@TrueYouSystems 11 ай бұрын
Thank you! This a GREAT question! In my experience, ENFP characters in fiction tend to get boiled down into type 7, or at least they present that way. So much of the enneagram is internal, and especially the experience of being a type 4 can be very internal. And this is especially the case for ENFPs. This is because they are very active out in the world doing things with people, so it's easy to overlook how much internal processing and reflection they are doing behind the scenes. Some possible ENFP 4s from fiction: Maryanne from Sense and Sensibility (could also be an INFP 4); Anne of Green Gable (again, possible INFP, depends on which adaptation); Delia Deetz from Beetlejuice (some say she's a 7); Marla from Fight Club (some say ESFP). Anyway, these are all up for debate -- too bad we can't ask them! 😅 I'm curious if you have any examples, too! (Or anyone else??) Thanks for the fantastic question! 🤗

@@TrueYouSystemsThank you for your insight. I'm not sure about enfp characters but maybe Barry Allen from Flash series, Elizabeth Bennet from Pride and Prejudice, Naruto, and maybe even Po from Kungfu Panda. I believe they fell into the stereotype.
