I was attracted to SM cause it's quite literally a demanding Performance Art Academy with a real eye for excellence and star quality. I admire SM and I admire the stars it produces and brings to us. We are very lucky to have them. I came into Kpop with NCT so I don't know much about EXO & SHINee. Clearly those stars in SuperM have already proven themselves. The NCT talent is still emerging and that's why I LIKE watching the NCT artists blossoming and finding their places. I scoped at first sight that a...creature...like Taeyong shows up once in a generation (he really IS that exceptional, so haters shut up!) We KNOW why Taeyong is in SuperM (to prove for once & for all & to everybody that he is AS GOOD AS IT GETS) and the more he proves it the more envy he will incur just for...being him...I don't know Kai but from the way he cuddled with Taeyong (and Taeyong let him) I think Kai...gets...the sweet little kid inside Taeyong. Taeyong needs NO help to be a better artist...he's got that. He may need some help to...survive...BEING a star. It's also no accident that Mark has been moved to SuperM YET AGAIN. Aside from his OWN amazing talent Mark has the TEMPERAMENT producers LOVE.and rely on He's that open sweet natured gets along with everyone absolutely capable willing & able Go To Guy that shows up gets it done. Seriously who...doesn't...like mark? Nobody. And it's SO obvious to me that BOTH Ten & Lucas WILL become SM Legends in good time. That is WHY they were placed in SuperM SM knows it too. Exquisite Ten was always gonna be A Star. He got waylaid with an injury for a while but he is BACK in full force. Coming back is scary and, at first he needed confidence so Taeyong took Ten under his wing with Stop Baby Don't Stop and that duo took both of them straight to the top. It's clear that Taeyong is still very fond of Ten as he passes his care to...Taemin...who will be the perfect partner who...needs a partner. Ultimately Ten is an ARTIST supremely SURE of his talent and Ten will THRIVE in the FREEDOM to express himself offered to him through SuperM. On the other hand. Lucas is still a little overwhelmed by...himself. He's figured out that he's hot. He's not yet sure HOW hot. Enough said that Of ALL the NCT dreamers, LUCAS has the potential to be a MEGASTAR. His handsomeness sexiness & charisma is...insane...he outshines everywhere SM tries to stick him. But WHAT to DO with Lucas has been problematic. At this stage his ultimate strengths are still shaping, he is bold but self conscious and he is less polished than Mark & Ten who honed their crafts before him in the elite NCT U ) He's got a ways to go yet. Lucas seems a little scared (as any sane person would be) to find himself with stars on THIS level. He NEEDS to play with The Big Kids to BECOME one. So SM has boldly (bravely) tossed Lucas headfirst into this sharktank of dauntingly SUPER stars to LET him sink...or swim. And it's pretty clear from this video that no one in THIS group is gonna...let...Lucas drown.

Thats an actual compliment. I have observed Mark during practice and seemingly horsing around sessions. He really is someone who pays attention to details. He memorizes choreo really well, taeyong also is great at making impromptu changes to the choreo. As a main dancer, that bird eye view and awareness is highly praised. Taein is impressed because Mark has that trait even at this age, he is so young and yet has that meticulous nature. Coming from Taemin thats a huge compliment.

silverhoneycat Actually from what I know Super M was originally meant for Japan, but they had to make a last minute change because of the political situation between Japan and Korea and so they went “oh btw we’re going to break into the American market hahaha”. I understand that SuperM is promoting in the US and they want to appeal to that audience, but it seems like the members feel apprehensive about doing greetings, fannames, etc. in Korean since they feel we won't understand. To be honest, since most SuperM fans are fans of the existing groups (NCT, SHINee, EXO) already, and we should know as international fans what they do and what it means, there would be no need to change anything. I just hope they don't feel pressured to put a lot of things in English, even if they are promoting in America. The point of the group, as said by Lee Soo Man, is to show the U.S. market what KPOP has to offer. Since in KPOP most things are in Korean, it would be weird to suddenly change it to English. I just hope that the SuperM members won't worry about us foreign fans not understanding or feeling discluded, because I'm guessing we catch on to more than they'd expect.

Exactly! I feel worried every time they are talking about international fans not understanding, because it feels like they are being expected to change to suit the Western market. I think that would be a really bad move, to try to conform to Western style to "appeal" to the Western audience rather than just doing their own thing. Not to bring BTS into this or anything, but BTS was able to succeed just doing K-pop and singing in Korean and continuing to handle media/fan interactions exactly as they would for in Korea. There is no need for SuperM to change how they do things to a more "Americanized" or "Westernized" version. Please, SuperM, don't try to be a Western group!! Sing in Korean, introduce yourselves in Korean (with members translating), just be who you are right now. The fans (real fans) already love you and will support you as you are! And new fans will come specifically because it is *not* like Western music.

I love how Kai is so attuned to Baekhyun's funny ment and know exactly when it's coming. He also supports/justifies Baek's jokes. Lol. When Baekhyun was talking about not eating much during Chuseok, Kai know it was all crap and tipped the whole group by laughing first. Everyone was dead serious until Kai laughed like a donkey. Haha.
