From Shen Mengchen's point of view, I understand that she wanted to give others a chance, but given the situation, it is absolutely unacceptable what she did. They were mimicking a real life scenario, and what she did would cause her and her team to die in real battle. This episode definitely presented the cold reality of being in the army. I think we can all understand where Mengchen was coming from but I also think that after all the time they've spent there they would know what they would have to do. I don't think Zitao and Liya would have blamed Sunyang and Mengchen if the latter had won (or the other way round), because they would have all done their best and given their circumstances unfortunately their best would just not have been enough. I think that although one of them would have been eliminated, they would have been so knowing they did their best until the end

Ok... I understand that she doesn't want Tong Liya to leave...but she also should've put herself in the place of Sun Yang... Although I initially watched TARM because of Taotao, Shen Meng Chen turned out to be my favorite among the cast.I cried so much during this episode I thought I was watching an episode of Scarlet Heart Ryeo or something. I like Mengchen too despite the fact that she is largely criticized by netizens for her behaviour in the battlefield. She does have to learn her responsibilities as a soldier, but I am really moved by how much she cherishes her friendship with Yaya. Yes, I agree with you. She does have to realise the damage her actions would have caused in an actual war. I was just not very pleased to see that some netizens on Weibo thought of her actions as fake - they thought she was pretending when she cried. Some comments on the internet considered her behaviours "unnecessarily dramatic" and thought she tried to stop Sunyang because she purposedly wanted to show off to the audience.

it's kinda awkward how they're always taught wrong pronunciation... like they were talking about trees instead of the number three, and now the immediately... but aside from that... this episode was really the first one that made me feel the military, and envy their sense of patriotism. I'm still a teen, I left my country for the simple reason that I'm going on a specialised school in a different one now because we don't have those. and I don't feel I'm missing anything at all. I'm thinking if I'd been chinese I would've probably thought differently, and at least would be thinking about returning there as soon as possible
