with her slashing her left wrist using her disabled right hand, this scene is so impossible. to be able to slash one's wrist , it needs a lot of force. besides, there were previous scenes when her right hand cannot hold anything. and another thing, that piece of ceramic that she used to slash her wrist, when focused, didn't have even a single blood stain on it. such small things when taken into consideration, meant a lot considering that this scene is so momentous in impact.

Have watched many period/historical Chinese dramas and the cutting of hair is like a massive thing - parting, ending, separation, defying, rebelling etc. Am not Chinese so would appreciate an indepth explanation

From what I know, in the ancient and medieval time, it was a taboo to cut ones hair because it was believed that your body was given to you by your parents and it should be kept intact as filial piety. So to cut your hair like that is like this was usually a form of punishment (put shame on oneself) or in this case an act of cut ties.
