Mature has been my dedicated main in every King of Fighters where she appears -- this iteration of her is flawless, SNK truly understands her role as a speed-based heavy pressure character

Mature has always seemed like a character living in multiple paradigms. SNK has given "rekka" characters a projectile in the past (Iori's always had one and Kyo had one in XI - which ended up being my favorite version of the character as a result) but with the long execution and startup of Mature's (it was performed like a super, at least in past games) it wasn't a move I saw often. Explaining the dash-up slash and the leaping slash is nice because their utility has been a bit of a mystery to me (particularly the dash slash).

@@SolidSonicTH The point is that thinking in terms of classic SF archetypes is problematic in SNK, because they never meant to follow that. SNK was the creative superpower in the 90s fg industry exactly for proposing different ideas of how to look at fgs, going beyond the terms of SF. The unique gimmicks and mechanics of FF, AOF and SS are just the easiest examples... But the movesets are also notable examples. Like, Jubei in FF has a slow fireball, a command grab, a running grab, a command grab done with charge motion (yes, that's correct). That's an idea from 92. But then when we look at newer movesets created by Capcom after SF2, we see that Capcom adopted SNK's ideas. Movesets and gameplans became a bit more "freestyle" compared to SF2's basic formula of "this type will have motion moves, this type will have charge moves, this type will have command grabs, etc". Alex in SF3 has a motion moves, a typical dp antiair, a charge move and a command grab (and done in half circle, the command popularized by SNK). Hugo in SF3 is a grappler with motion moves, normal SF command grabs (360), and SNK command grabs (not 360), and dp anti air grab. And well, everyone in Darkstalkers literally has a SNK command grab. So it was SNK's initiative that won in the end.

These guides started in season 2 and covered the whole season 2 pack from the beginning. Maybe it took time for the devs to convince SNK to make character guides, inspired by GGST. Or it was really a late decision. But hopefully the feedback convinces SNK to make FF character guides for everyone just like GG.

the thing that will really shatter the expectations of all KOF fans is when Orochi make his glorious comeback and reclaim his throne as the best , first and original KOF boss since 1800 years ! as the official announcer said : "Orochi is eternal!" !!! !!!!! am I the only one who want Orochi comeback and he will since all of his servants the Hakashu are alive and well !!! from Mature and Vice to the Four Heavenly Kings and Yamazaki of course even if he s not interested or something he never give in to Riot Of Blood ! anyway Orochi will comeback and will make all bosses look like weaklings ! except Rugal he s my second best !

This is basically their classic outfit from 1996 with few new details. It's just that SNK likes to switch designs more often than Capcom, so they changed outfits in KOF 13, then again in 14, then now it's their classic outfit in 15. Some KOF characters have more repetitive designs like Mai, Terry and Ryo, but most still change outfits more often than SF characters.

Like vice and mature where given suits and then given like business casual in KOF14(which wasn't bad mind you) but they literally took a drastic design turn with them. At first only athena changed that much every game.
