30 knots or mph 34.5 mph @ 3800 rpm, 5 litres or 1.32 gallons per mile. So that's roughly 26 gallons per hour. @ 34.5 mph. One could make it to Bimini from Miami, just under 1.5 hours. and Blow 39 gallons in a 57 FT. Impressive!!!! DAMN

Hard to believe it only holds 460 gallons of fuel. The HCB competitor for this holds 1000. You'd have to fill up again before the end of the day just to finish the day.

nice boat, one thing that caught my attention was that a beautiful boat like that with so many cool details but sadly the quality of the embroidery seems cheap compared to the boat 0:54 the density on the top design are too high and the jump stitches are not clean, 2:15 the density is too low and you can see parts where the thread overlaps unnecessarily on parts of the design and it lacks in others. other than that.. the boat is impressive!

Would like to see if it does better than 58 knots with four Marine 7 - 627(s) I mean, it would, right? With 2508 hp instead of 1600 hp? Or does anyone know, is the weight significantly different?

Verado 400R = ~300 kg, SM 627 = 600kg. With four engines the difference would be roughly 1.2 tons. Nothing for over 900 hp more. I think 70 knots should be possible.

Nautical Miles are widely used in the metric system world. Miles, knots, feet,... those are all part of the nautical tradition in Europe, but gallons are not.

What happens if you stuff the nose downwind in the rough? Or take a green one over the bows head to wind? thats a lot of open boat to fill up and rely on auto bail scuppers. you are dead in the water - or worse going down. Very, very silly boat for fair weather only.

Mystic Powerboats builds a 70' CC. Diesels only b/c of the 55,000lb dry weight. Mystic offers MTU diesels up to 2600hp which give the boat a top speed of 90mph.

Its a shame that so many of these great boat manufacturers have a mercury noose around their necks. They have the industry on lockdown due to fear of open competition. This platform is ideal for 7Marines' LS based motor.

Don't understand what's "silly"... The 7marine is a bit heavy, can be fitted to mainly larger boats with larger transomes. But with v8 power, you need fewer of them. And I'm also referring to the contractual status of these companies who sign on with Mercruiser... If it were possible, would I buy an Escalade with 2 four cylinder motors? Or one LS V8. 😶

You can get it with 7s. Most of these boats are custom orders. Nor tech and midnight express I know offer 7s if you can afford the price tag.

@@tbear68- I totally agree about Merc's dominance of the pleasureboat market, plus they have a strong presence in the down-market as well. The Seven Marine engines are the first real high performance incursion into Merc territory but they have 3 downsides; 1) A Seven 627 weighs almost 500lbs more than a 450hp SC Merc. 2)7s are much more expensive and 3)7s burn much more fuel per mile. Seven Marine needs to figure out how to put a lighter, smaller V8 with say twin turbos to match that big block Chevy's 627hp. That would solve the other two issues quite handily.

4 outboards on a boat that length? seems to be trending these days? Way to much Hull in the water at speed. Water contact = drag = gas consumption . Since when did the Center Console become the answer for high performance? If you notice, the Center Con. takes up a lot of unnecessary room.
