I guarantee that reviewer simply doesn't prefer the tongueless, midfoot knit of the 'beta.' Which is fine. It comes down to the individual. Some people want a consistent ball-touch feel from forefoot to midfoot and an adjustable tongue, others prioritize lockdown and thus prefer a tongueless synthetic midfoot because that generally improves lockdown. You have to decide for yourself which camp you're in.
