You’re so right about Yu turning to Sam for help/reassurance like at @58:58 (Yu starts talking at @58:40) Like Sam is so used to that. He thought Yu was nervous/embarrassed about what he said (zanzan) and kept telling him it’s okay lol Like he kept trying to make eye contact to reassure Yu that he did good @58:59 and later diverted the attention from Yu by asking for the next question. Meanwhile Yu was probably laughing at something else but Sam kept looking at him and missed that and thought Yu was embarrassed so he kept reassuring him. How sweet 🥺 I think he really cares about Yu and his feelings and wants him to have a good time cause he knows Yu struggles in social situations sometimes. P.S. I can’t stop editing this comment cause I keep noticing new things like when Yu put his hand on Sam’s and left it there for a bit while Sam was reassuring him after the awkward silence and whatever it is Yu was laughing about on the other side the camera didn’t capture

There’s so many things I wanna put timestamps on but it’s hard to do jt as I’m watching it on my phone 😅 Sam doesn’t just understand Gao Shi De so well but he also understand Zhou Shu Yi’s character in depth. When he said that Shu Yi slapped him not just because he hated Shi De, but because there’s still some lingering feelings Shu Yi had for Shi De 😭 I’m like wow. Why didn’t I think of that? He analysed the characters very well. When YU asked Sam if he’s tired, I’m like awwwww. He’s so perceptive. It’s 10pm already, Sam’s bed time 🤭 And it’s rare to see Sam digging holes for YU. He knew YU doesn’t like dancing! 😂 The whole casts are just so chaotic! I just love the chemistry between all of them! It’s like they complete each other ❤️

And then they both pretended he said something else lol. 12:06 Tian's canto translation: "We're very happy you guys came to our live stream today. We're the cast of WBL. @Meah Gojo Cruz Agree. YU definitely has this unique vibe that fits Shuyi more. That being said, my understanding is they were pretty flexible with their scripts (making Shuyi half Japanese to accomodate YU's accent, etc.) So if Tian had played Shuyi, I felt like they would have modified the character in a different way, and we would have a very different Shuyi character as well as DeYi chemistry. Still, I am glad we got SamYU. Their shy interactions bts give me life!
