Love this series. These types of historical cdramas were becoming rare. It should be the bare minimum, and yet it's a gem! Please get back on board C-Ent. We don't need new idol actors with airbrushed faces all the time. GIVE US GOOD WRITING AND OLDER ACTORS!!!

So true. not to mention most of these idols' bad acting; so frustrating. I guess they have their audience too. That is why I love this drama, good script, superb and subtle acting from the leads, and secondary characters who understand their characters' emotions and purpose. It was the same for me with another c-drama i loved, the rebel princess.

Tencent thank you for this delightful Chinese drama. I’m watching from the USA, specifically, NJ. My Chinese coworker highly recommended Dream of Splendor. I was already watching Blue Whisper with my favorite actress Dilraba. It has become “stressful” than entertaining so I decided to check out Dream of Splendor. Best decision I made. Blue Whisper is rank second to this drama, if you ask me. Also, Crystal Liu’s acting ability as a very feminine, highly intelligent woman and her gorgeous face is the right person for the role. The leading man is also the right mix of the role. He’s not a soft looking man but so masculine & a warrior. This is like making a “perfect“ tea🫖, although I prefer coffee. The best part is, Pan’er & Qian Fan lived happy ever after. I saw a summary of this drama and the ending was very good, positive. Just like I said, dramas should end in a happy note. I loved King’s Woman at first: Dilraba & Zhang Binbin but my coworkers said Dilraba died. That’s not entertaining so I stopped at episode 20+. Won’t watch it at all. Life is full of tragedy, why would I watch a tragic drama or movie? Many of us felt that way. It’s not entertaining, it’s depressing. Tencent, thank you!
