They had more similarities than differences, they both had a strong belief in upholding justice and wrong doers must be punished. They both had weak power and were ridiculed for it. They were both spoiled rotten. They did have some differences but not as much as commenters seem to think. The thing that made the most difference is that Shanggu was raised as the Chief god and much was expected from her.

@Linda Flowers there are some haters in the media ‘so called critics’ and manipulators online who whip up the ‘sheep’ online to get their way. Zhou Dongyu is different to a lot of the leading tv fantasy actresses in that she’s not your stereotypical face - most of them have more European features. She has a delightful face that has beautiful Chinese features. There was a lot of criticism that the character she was playing was supposed to be the most beautiful woman in 6 kingdoms and some felt she didn’t have that beauty. She had previously rejected a role because she felt she was not attractive enough to play that part; and was mindful of how the audience would accept her in that role. There is a claim that Angelababy was offered the role first but she rejected the offer. Dongyu was at the time contracted to the same agency as Angelababy and ended up being forced to take a role not meant for her. I personally loved her portrayal of the two characters and whatever she feels lacking of being the most beautiful, her great acting SHONE through. I will watch it again and just enjoy.

@@waynen9990 the difference is he chose to ignore the facts/allowed her to continue her rampage because he didn't want to accept the truth. How many times was he hit over the head with the truth/totally ignored it. Even when his son tried to tell on his mother Muguang covered for her instead of doing his job as the emperor. How many time was he asked to reevaluate Yuemi's death? He knew that his wife was evil but he chose to ignore it. Jinjiang did the exactly same thing as his father after he learned the truth about his mother. He buried his head in the sand/refused to expose her evil deeds. His inaction is what caused Fengran to suffer. Pretending like something is happening/avoiding dealing with reality only ends up biting you in the ass. I think Bai Jue and Tianqi commitment to the 3 realms would've outweigh anything else.

Yuanqi is such a mischievous child, he took apart his mother's ancestral sword, and suggest for his mother to burn down the dome to get back his father for abandoning them, then he made his mother fell into the bathtub with his father. That was intentional 🤣. Shanggu and baijue becoming like stranger, zhou dong yu is a great actress she was able to show shanggu's feeling for baijue back in the god realm, both of them acting shy when they first fall in love. Did tianqi really made candy for yuanqi, he used to be a bad cook before, he has improve on his cooking 🤔

Bai Jue was the one who created Houchi 😂 He taught Houchi 😂 Qing Mu escaped from Bai Jue when he was gonna merge them to one another. The only reason why Bai Jue is pushing Shanggu away is because he don't want her to be sad when he dies. He knows that he will die soon. So it's best to make himself look as the bad guy and have Shanggu hate him so she won't be so hurt after. Look at how sad Houchi was when she learned that Qingmu is no longer around. Shanggu would hurt more cause she will have the memories of both Shanggu and Houchi.
