Of the now hundred or so Chinese dramas that I've watched, this has definitely been one of my all time favorites. Every morning, I'd get up, get some coffee, and watch the drama to start my day. Congratulations to all the cast and crew!! I'll miss everyone and would love to know how they all fare with kids. The plot never fell short; the acting was great. Everyone had a compelling story arc. (I was partial to the Empress by the end.) Really enjoyed how Liu Miantang's natural leadership qualities shown through in the early episodes. They were really funny, especially when she followed him to battle. Their banter was well-written and well-delivered. Really, the writing was terrific. I especially appreciated Liu Miantang's canny observations about women's roles. I hope they produce a second season. Thanks so much from NYC!!

This must be one of the most satisfying endings in a drama I have ever seen. I liked all of the characters but the special mention must go to Xueji. Xueji was the best :) mostly because she suprised me the most. I tought she will either be a bore or a mean mean/jealous girl type but she was the sweetest and one of the most clever characters in a drama full of clever characters.

I’m so done with vulnerable FLs always waiting for MLs to protect them why can’t you be a Liu Miantang in fact I am so happy that all the ladies in the drama are strong and need less protection also my favorite character will always be Empress Xueji I bet if I have a tiny bit of her level of calmness, tolerance, endurance and wisdom I’ll never be held back by any obstacle(she’s the woman of women). As for Liu Miantang her uniqueness is something I can only dream of because she’s… speechless to be a Miantang I need to get a Xingzhou which is extremely rare 😅.Let’s come back to something, Liu Pei is the most unworthy villain in all of Cdrama history I still can’t understand why it took 40episodes to take him down😅. This was so good ❤❤❤❤, i feel nostalgic already. One of the best dramas so far it gave the feeling of twinkling watermelon 😊. Everything was great I just we wished we saw a few more romance at the end maybe some kids and a kiss between the emperor and empress but it's still satisfying. And to all the actresses in these drama i am giving each one of you five stars from old to young , the elegance and steez you all portrait is on another level, i as a woman feels very proud and lacking 😅 but I really liked how you all carried ur self's this is my first seeing all female characters display such elegance, I'm so in love with ancient Chinese clothes ❤❤❤. But all characters really slayed this role but my women are exceptional of course 😂❤❤❤, lot's of love to this drama ❤❤❤❤

This is one of my favorite Chinese drama!!! I really hope that it will win many oscars, ceasars, stars to congratulate all the team that made this outstanding drama!!! There was adventures, humour, great plots, beautiful scenery. All the actors were amazing, to the female and male leads fantastic chemistry, to their best friends: the funny physician and the potery lady, to the Empress and Emperor!!!! The villains were so despicable!!! And all the servants were so funny and great in their role!!! The funny neighbors couple that were always quarrelling!!! What to say about the dear grandfather, what an actor he is!!! So many great actors in this drama!!! I already feel nostalgic to not be able to see more of them, to know their futurs kids and their stories. This is a mark of great achievement when the end of the drama gives you this feeling. It is an outstanding Chinese drama serie!!!🤩🤩🤩

I really enjoyed this very much. Normally I wouldn't say I like shows where i have to wait for an episode but this is the first. worth the wait b/c the ML and FL have greatly developed characters, are well-liked, and their chemistry and love are felt when they are together. It's a well-written script compared to most shows out there. I've already liked the FL from other shows, ML has caught my interest and will checkout his other shows. and and thank you for having a well wounded ending instead a rushed ending.

I loved every bit of the Drama thoughout ..especially the beginning it kept hooked until now .i binged watched all until the middle... Clearly, upon the end a lot of " legend of Minglan" 's influence... The chemistry between the main couple is tangile and unique .. i plan to watch the Rise of Ning - but i'm very reluctant since i can't easily remove the Female lead from Lord Huaiyang- 舟记❤❤ best so far in 2024.
