A bit of context- Back in 2019, she used to hold live concerts every ~2 months. It was unfortunately halted due to the pandemic. Right now, there's not much difference with her activities and the other members.

@@fischwell I know she was once affiliated with Inonaka Music, but I don't think being affiliated with a music company is a requirement to be a VSinger, otherwise why is Irys considered one? As far as I know she is only affiliate with Hololive atm?

I can see how this question may have been difficult to answer. At this point in time, I'm not sure the distinction between vtuber and vsinger are as clear cut as before.

In my opinion, I do think that a possible difference are the goals they set to achieve and the backing by the management. A Vsinger can still perform activities similar to a normal Vtuber but I do think the goals set by the management for her in conjunction with her own goals are set differently to the normal Vtubers. I think Hololive make the two terms really gray. IryS from her early activities seem to probably be closer to a Vtuber than other VSingers, aand early Sora seem to be a VSinger compared to other Vtubers. But ehh. I love both of em

More Vsingers start to live streaming more these days not just hololive, so I think the different is not that obvious anymore. You can't do much in these pendamic day anyway

From all vtubers or vsingers I watch, Vtubers focus on streaming on youtube (gaming ,singing or likewise), and vsingers hold concerts live both on youtube or at venue (where people can attend) but because of pandemic, it's difficult to do so. Vtubers usually don't do concert, hololive is exception as they use idol as the main concept for their talents. Also vsingers release more covers and originals than normal vtubers usually do. (There is always exception though)

From the outside perspective it does seem like as a normal member you have more freedoom to do the content you want, Ame for example hasn't dropped any official song, yet its very creative and does alot on the content creator department, since the other are vsingers there is more of an expection for them to release more music.

Yeahh the line is really blurred at least in hololive cause they use idol group concept and most of the vtuber girls is actually music focused, what different from them (AZKi and IRyS) that i can tell is their musical activities funded by company while other girls not On IRyS case she even stream more often than some of her senpai lol

I think nowadays hololive is also work as record label tho not just innk, but its probably different for each member to other because like matsuri said about making original song from their own pocket and it costly, probably suisei making a deal with hololive for her upcoming album since making even only one original song its costly and irys is hired for similar reason like azki but irys is still hololive not innk

@@qorqir5878 I think they get additional budget for every milestone. Getting to 1M subscriber + money from Suisei's pocket was enough to finance her album. Suisei did not spend as much for new Live2d model compared to the other members.

IRyS is its EN equivalent, even though the name is different AZKI is "Virtual Diva" and IRyS is "Virtual Singer" I like the sound of the name V.Diva better, I don't know but V.Singer feels more generic. Suisei at the beginning was a V.Diva together with AZKI.

because she's signed under Hololive instead of INNK she counts as a VTuber, also Calli isn't expected to do concerts unlike Azki & Irys (once the current Restrictions allow)

Calli released so much music because she wants it, you are not obligated to release music, Ame is the best example of this. What Calli does its very insane to an extend, and its just proves how talented, hardworking and how many connections she has on the industry, I doubt even Irys can release the same quantity, wich is why she should focus more in quality, and the first songs she released are pure quality.

@@qorqir5878 its not only about the EP's, she released alot of music already, she has not been in holo for even 1 year yet her track record his bigger than most of the other girls, I feel like she must have alot of connections in the industry to be able to pump music at this level.

@@tribopower if its about connection, im sure calli has a lot from her previous life tho if youre a holomem im sure you could just ask for it, connection its not the problem for holomem tbh but like matsuri said they use money from their own pocket to make song and its expensive, calli able to release multiple songs already because she also do some of the production herself

@@qorqir5878 That's when connections come in, sure hololive may get you the people, but you probably pay more for it, if you don't know people who know you pretty well and can do you a favor. Coco for example, she was so popular and loved she had people who were willing to pay for her to sing a song they made for her. Irys is way different just look at the first MV she made that even had Tokyo Tower sponsoring it, and the amount of people working on it was insane, that's a easy 100k+ production right there, ofc in this case cover paid for all of it.
