I'm really liking this drama,but one thing that really annoys me is how Mr. Ji,the older brother,keeps constantly telling Key to give up his dream of being an comic artist. I'm am an artist myself too and that is so real that I feel annoyed on a personal level aaaah, everybody tells me the same thing. Why?It's not impossible to be successful. Anyway, it's a really sweet and good drama!I'm loving it

I’m working to become a psychologist and I get the same treatment. Family tend to conform to societies ideal as to how to navigate life in a monetarily comfortable way. I think it has a lot to do with culture and what it’s society deems as notary jobs (usually jobs that give you wealth or fame that can be liquidated). Most don’t think of jobs that don’t guarantee financial stability as Jobs worthy of pursuit (Jobs in the arts and in theory usually qualify as jobs that don’t offer financial stability). It definitely isn’t a reason why do family shouldn’t support you pursuing your happiness but that is one of the reasons why people question if that’s what you wanna do and hesitate to support. A good way to get your family to See your way is to show them you did the research (show them a realistic and stable plan) so that they can be reassured that you’ll be OK.

I’m pretty sure later he accepts his brother with his occupation, or I’m pretty sure this is how it’ll play out. I see it makes sense considering the main lead personality, but the important fact is that they change. I also understand that comic artist is not a occupation that everyone or a parent will accept. It’s hard work, and I’ve heard of many Webtoon artists having to work very, very hard to meet the deadline. That can put a lot of pressure on someone and honestly, it takes a lot of work to rise up and gain recognition in a competitive field. (I think it’s competitive. I’m not too knowledgeable about comic artists, but it also depends if you want to be a helper or author of comic, etc...) I believe if it’s your true passion in any occupation, go for it even through the struggles and doubts. This at least shows that the main lead changes his views as he sees his brother truly passionate and working hard. (I’m pretty sure he changes like this. I just read some comments from other episodes, but I haven’t watched the full series yet) I believe he wants to support him deep inside at this point in the series, but he doesn’t want his brother to have regrets or be in an occupation that he’ll not succeed in. Though, people also need to realize that it depends in the individual person to go through that struggle to find themselves and passion. Anyway, I know it’s just a drama. I’m pretty sure he changes or I hope he changes , and that’s the most important part. I also hope that parents or guardians will support their child’s decision no matter what and not expect the worst of them.

Also because asians criticize so much (not all of them though).
