this guy is the worst kind of guys to date. they genuinely love you and a lot, but they dont try to understand you as a person and learn how to love you right. cause of these things, it makes it really heart wrenching and so hard to break up with. because for one, you finally found someone that love you for you and you love their kind and giving heart, but their thoughtless actions and lack of mental load keep hurting you, so you are constantly fighting with yourself whether you should break up or not because they are not really doing anything bad, but you are not really happy either. it's much easier to just dump and move on from an asshole than it is from this kind of relationship. Like here, he made her look so bad at work, even tho he did it out of goodness/to profess his love. But he never thought of what she really wants, if this is appropriate, is this the right time to do it (they were fighting) and how mad she would be when she finds out about the tickets. This just shows how little he really knows her. Like yeah, maybe some girls might feel touched (which is what he expected) that their bf did that for them but not his gf. It just feels like he never understood her as a person. bc if he did, then he would understand how much her work means to her and how important it is for her to do well in it, but by her own effort. gosh, if only he actually listened to her for once when she speaks he would know bc she is always telling him "i dont wanna depend on parents, i want to build my own life so i can have total say in it etc". this often makes you question "what did they even love about me?" and that alone makes this kind of person really hard to leave/love bc you love their pure heart but idk, maybe they are too naive? too childish still? im not sure what the problem is. but they are not realistic. they just want to spoil you and protect you from every single bad thing (even when is not that bad or is something you need to work on or have solutions) that they would go as far as to omit/hide things to create an illusion that everything is well (he knows damn well that his parents are against them dating but hasnt been honest). And what i hate is that they are so spoiled themselves that they think they can resolve everything easy (in this case, with his money) just to make her happy (but that wont really make her happy bc thats not the way she wants things to get done). That's not partnership. For me, an equal partner is someone who challenges you to grow while supporting you from behind.
