@@lazymcguire5776 this is gonna be a long one and I apologize wholeheartedly- According to some sources, XZ and WYB have an endorsement shoot together and were seen together during said shoot. They were supposed to be in a charity event together this month but fans wondered why they did not attend, turns out that was the reason. So I would say, they still have a good partnership at the very least. They worked together on TU for a while and maintained a strong friendship until obsessed fans ruined XZ’s image. Some artists prefer not to involve their friends in their messes, although some willingly speak up for them. While other prefer to comfort them in silence. I think, based on Yibo’s personality, I’d say he went for the latter and instead comforted XZ in private, as did many others. These next few things I will point out are not exactly clear but I did come across them while watching a few videos out of boredom. Please take it all with a grain of salt, and nothing more than that: In private, on several occasions, they were seen to have come from the same spot on the same days but in separate vehicles, such as that restaurant in Shanghai. It is also said by their staff that XZ and WYB live in the same community, thus they had similar house design and furniture because it was some sort of subdivision apartment, I think? If I remember correctly-and it led to some speculation that they lived together(that one is unsure, as there is a reason to that: a “staff” of WYB or XZ said that his delivery of something, idk if it was cosmetics or some endorsement thing, was sent to XZ house. It might have been like a sleepover or something like that at least-idk. The resources are vague tho). This could explain why WYB didn’t openly speak up about and instead he would have comforted XZ in private instead. So at most, based on these speculations, they are still well acquainted with each other, at least. At most, they are still as close as they once were, just not in the public eye.

First, I'm very aware of the endorsements that each one will obtain before their announcement (in groups that share melons with more than 60% probability), neither of 'em justifies a collaboration between both, also that wouldn't make any sense, 'cause they may personally not have any rivalry but it's not the same case in the market, they are competitors. And about the staff statements, they can say what u want to hear if there's money involved, so u can find statements of how good or bad their relationship is now. The fact that they have supposedly met several times but still there's no evidence (video, photos) to prove it, makes all this very likely to be false, except for some statements by alleged paparazzi who claim to have taken photos of 'em but they can't post it, pfft. And I don't even want to talk about the rumor about the apartment they "share", totally invasive and disrespectful! The only rumors that couldn't be denied by solo fans refer to the 2020 tencent awards. The first is about how WYB hid the XZ rehearsal under its name (there's a photo and a video that supports it). Second is that there were not many recordings of WYB at his seat, as his solo fans who filmed him at the gala claimed that he spent more time than usual on backstage. It is known that XZ was at backstage most of the time and only came out to sing and receive his award. Obvious conclusion: WYB supported his friend that night the same way he did in private during 227. An unconfirmed rumor that I found curious is about WYB's 23rd birthday, ddu brothers had a little reunion with him. At a certain point a voice is heard on the phone that says it is XZ's, I saw the video (it was on weibo but it has been blocked) and it does sound like him but I can't put my finger on it. All this info I've found from weibo and zhihu groups, but there's no credible rumor regarding this year, all have been denied by solo fans. I respect that u like and support 'em both, I do too, but I must be against obsessive and harmful cps, just know that XZ lost an award due to their stupid actions, among others things that would make my comment even longer. I can only say that, whether they're friends or strangers now, only time will tell, at least we know that they don't ignore each other completely since they are too popular and the artists circle is not as big as it seems and, above all, they still follow each other on weibo
