5 Causes and Ways to Overcome the Honda Brio Oil Indicator Lights up
It's important to know a few things about your Brio so that when the oil indicator light appears on your dashboard, you don't have to worry. This time I will explain about five things you should know about the Brio car oil system. Read below to learn more about what the oil light on the dashboard means. This is what complements my video above.
5. First important thing is not to drive your vehicle with low oil pressure (Oil indicator light is on)
If you continue to drive your Brio with low oil pressure, the risk of engine damage is waiting for you. When you see a low oil pressure light, it is an important first warning for you to notice a lubrication system problem. If you wait too long, your engine will start making annoying noises, which means it's too late for the first treatment. However, if you immediately respond to these conditions, the possibility is that the problem is only with the sensor, or changing the oil pump.
4. Engine Oil Pump Not Working
If you have checked your vehicle's oil level and the sensors are working properly, then the next reason the low oil pressure light is on is because there is low oil pressure in the oil pump. The oil pump is located at the bottom of the engine inside the oil pan, and is not an easy thing to replace.
3. Insufficient Amount of Engine Oil
When the amount of oil in the engine drops, the engine oil pressure is low, which is not good for the health of your Brio. It is important to check engine oil regularly. Checking your vehicle's oil is very easy. Park first on level ground, then let the engine cool down before opening the hood. Once the engine has cooled down, look for the dipstick, which may be yellow. When you pull out the dipstick for the first time, wipe it clean to get a new, clean reading. Reinsert the dipstick, then remove it again. You will be able to get an accurate reading of the oil level in your engine. If it is too low, it is time to fill it with the recommended type of oil for your engine. You can find out which type of oil is best for your vehicle in your owner's manual.
2. Low Oil Pressure
When the low oil pressure light comes on, it is best to turn off your vehicle and not use it until the problem is resolved. While I understand this to be very inconvenient, it is better than risking the amount of harmful damage a vehicle might inflict on your engine. When the oil pressure light comes on, it's not always a sign of disaster. Often, this light comes on when the sensor needs to be replaced, which is an easy and affordable task.
1. There is a Difference Between Oil Warning Light & Oil Change Reminder
Your Toyota vehicle, like most vehicles, has a way of reminding you of maintenance. A light or message may appear on your dashboard to let you know that it's time for an oil change. The maintenance reminders are self-explanatory, but it's always best to make an appointment with an authorized service center where they will not only take care of changing the oil, but also resetting your reminder light.
