I'm from Mumbai. The first item u purchased is a Eid Speciality. But it needs preparation. It is called vermicelli. It is made somewhat like noodle roasted and garnished with ghee or oil. During actual preparation this is cooked with milk, sugar and dry fruits. When it gets ready it is called sevai or sheer khurma. During Eid it is made in almost all Muslim homes in India and served to guests.
