Omgg, didn't you see? Non is just a poor boyyy. His parents never gave him love or attention, so he is now seeking that from someone else, now that his parents can't give him that. He isn't a brat, is just that his parents don't care about him. You see Kao, he has such a good & caring mother, and Pete, who has such a great & understanding dad. Well, Non doesn't have any of that, that's why he is seeking for attention, it's not like he wants to, is his parents who made him do that. A lie is a lie people. There is no justification for that and the fact that Pete told Kao in previous episode not to lie to him again, of course he is going to be angry. I was not surprise at all about how he reacted. Kao lied. He might have "tried" to talk to pete but the reality is that he didnt. There is no if, but, or mabe about this scenario. I dont think its even completely about Non at this point. He lied and that is pete's reaction to it. When you're in a hidden relationship you need honesty from your partner to feel secure because the relationship itself feels like a lie.

This is how I feel. Kao should’ve talked to Pete again first with a FULL explanation of WHY he needed to keep tutoring Non. I think though Pete wouldn’t have been happy about it, w/some ground rules he could’ve lived w/it. But instead Kao promised him a very specific thing for the good of their relationship, then turned around and did the thing. And that’s a betrayal, nvm it being Non, and then when you considered Non, this brat, who tho w/issues of his own, CLEARLY wants Kao to himself plus with Kao’s (tho understandable) refusal to let anyone know of their relationship, Pete is now feeling insecure in his relationship because of both an inside and outside threat. Pete should never have put Kao in a position where he was forced to choose between his relationship and something that would impact his mother's employment. Pete was also in the wrong. Kao definitely had chances to tell the truth, sure, but clearly Pete's not willing to acknowledge and take responsibility for his role in the situation. Though to be fair, Kao is a bit of a doormat. He never really did a good job (re)asserting his boundaries when Non continued to act inappropriately. Like Megan said, he should have communicated with Pete about why the ultimatum he was given was unreasonable (and perhaps had a conversation about the controlling behavior that led Pete to give that ultimatum). But Kao is a conflict-avoidant people pleaser. Bad combination of traits when you need to stand up for yourself.

Dark Blue Kiss will always be my favorite bl, and I've watched many of them. I love It how it's one the few that shows a long term relationship and their problems. I love TayNew chemistry, I love It how Pete and Kao are imperfect characters who makes mistakes and are selfish sometimes but are always sure about loving each other. I love it how they have imature and realistic problems. I love the drama and I even love their break up, because it's so well acted and written, and I love their time apart, because it was important for their growth and maturity, personally and as a couple. I am goin to be the odd one here and be on Pete's side with this one. A lie is a lie. There is no sugar coating it. From once you feel the need to lie in your relationship then there is something wrong there. Kao never had to lie about Non if he had been forward from the beginning. There are other ways to get your intention across without coming out (since he is not ready). He could have just told Non to stop. Look him dead in the eyes and be serious with him n tell him to STOP. But kao didnt, he kept brushing it off, that is where he went wrong. There is just so much agony a person can take within a relationship before they snap. Especially if that relationship is hidden its even more difficult. What could have helped a bit is Kao allowing Pete to tell their friends then. Why hide it from them. They are close and even though they mite tease them I don't think they would turn their backs on them. Pete just needed reassurance from Kao that they were in a relationship together. Kao could have given him that without coming out to his mother.

I feel sad about everything but Kao's face when he was calling Pete and kind of came to the realisation that this is one of their worse fights made me cry, and even though Pete is a thickhead sometimes I also understand the feeling of betrayal he must feel when the only thing he asked of Kao was to not lie to him, especially since they have been in a relationship for 3 whole years that's a really long time and the only people they told was his father. He even has to keep a secret from their close friends, anyone would feel insecure in that kind of relationship, then add lying and hiding something that you already discussed, is even worse.
