I'm expecting a second series because that was something akin to The Reichenbach Fall. Yes, it is a bad habit of C dramas do these cliffhangers and never provide resolutions to them but hopefully it was successful enough to warrant another series. Sooner rather later. Excellent cast. The leads and the supporting cast were top-notch. A really fun rip roaring adaptation of the Sherlock Holmes mythology... a nice fusion of the BBC Sherlock as well as Elementary and canon Holmes. Occasionally we even had a bit of Agatha Christie thrown in for good measure. But there's no doubt that Bai Yu is the star of this show. He was absolutely brilliant in the role. I don't usually watch these sorts of things for the romance but in this drama... it was actually really nicely done. Two people brought together because of their love for crime detection and passion for justice. Through the routines and rhythms of chasing villains and solving mysteries, they make love. Everybody knows they're a thing even if they don't acknowledge it themselves. I really really enjoyed this pairing.

大爱这个结局，完全没有像网友说的烂尾，结局高潮哇！尤其是captain的笑暗示说他是故意在罗非面前假装说胡话好让罗赶紧反应过来然后导致霍医生逃跑的时间缩短。以致他后面意料之外的狼狈。但是有几个问题：1-小虎爸爸严重心脏病很容易死掉还拉黄包车这种心跳加速的体力活？？ 2-罗非说金不败进监狱的目的是让化学教授死掉，但是金进监狱的时候人教授还没进呢，金直接去把教授neng死不是更容易嘛还需要爱进监狱这么复杂？？ 3-金这么容易随时知道外界的新闻update，明显监狱有帮手啊，那还不赶紧顶着他找到帮手们？？

1.我个人的理解是迫于生存压力，没得选。2 & 3，个人感觉没办法在戏里解释的很详细，毕竟化学教授连面也没露过。主要作用是做障眼法。结合当时社会的黑暗程度，真要查帮手，这件事会分散主线。我觉得不能解释也是受剧集长度的限制。放在现实中，肯定要摸出内鬼来的。

这个剧的结局完全没有烂尾，难道你们没有发现自己看完之后有一种强烈的，刚刚发生了什么的感觉吗？我个人觉得最后这个单元非常有意思。1.一个案子套一个案子，像是俄罗斯套娃。你以为的结束其实才是开始，不过是套娃里最小的那个。2. 案件像是一个无止境的循环，你以为应该是画着圈往外走越来越接近真相，但是事实上你是画着圈往里收，离真相越来越远。你以为的结束，只是开始。3. 一般情况下人的本性都是走向解决问题而不是悬而未决，这个结尾恰恰让你有太多疑惑又似乎能够自己抽丝剥茧接近真相。第一遍可能会觉得WTF?+黑人问号脸，但是第二遍就会觉得，挺妙。

Whenever I watch mystery C-dramas, I always end up with a cliffhanger and hopefully, season 2. SCI and now this. I watched this because of Bai Yu and didn't expect anything at first but overall this is a great detective series. I also love the production- from the set location up to their wardrobe.
