[ENG SUB] Do you know all the hardships that Wang Yibo 王一博 has been through?

I didn’t expect this video to be this long when I decided to do it 😭 but after watching “My Legacy and I”, this video had to be made.
Also because the first video I did on Yibo had the music removed and I’ve been wanting to do an updated version.
Wang Yibo really went through quite a few hardships and it’s no wonder he’s so mature for his age (even though he has his naughty side). It really makes me respect him more, and who knew that was possible.

A few corrections: 1. at 2:15, i said that yibo joined ddu in 2018, which is inaccurate. he joined ddu in 2016. during that year, uniq's activities had already started to lessen and uniq eventually halted all group activities in 2018 2. at 10:58, it should be translated more accurately as "i just want to be the better version of myself" 3. typos! 😭 sorry, this means i shouldn't be subbing at 3am 😔 if there is anything else i missed, let me know! 🙏

He never sells hardship or misery, I understand the docu had been edited to remove most of those parts. However even with the cuts, it was so difficult for me to watch it without tearing up and being emotional throughout. All he asks is for fans (and passersby) to be reasonable and have boundaries. You do not own him just because you claim to stan him and buy the things he endorses. He did not sign over his freedom when he performs for the public or provides paid entertainment. You did not pay for HIM, you paid for the entertainment he provides. You cannot claim to love him from afar yet want to crowd him. HE IS A HUMAN BEING JUST LIKE YOU. Don’t ever forget that. He is like no other and that is why I am proud to be a fan. Wang Yibo deserves more than he can ever ask for, and he doesn’t even ask for that much.

Nothing came easy to him. Nothing ever did. He always fought harder and better and just seeking to improve. To see him go through all this, which is just a fraction, a glimpse of his reality, is heartbreaking but also having the chance to see how he gets up, finds another ways and keeps going is relieving and so him. Man...i got a lil teary watching this at almost 3am. I can't even imagine life in the shoes of Yibo. The lack of freedom, hectic schedules and it must be oh so lonely. The heavy price of fame. 😢 I still think any time with his UNIQ gege members was/is his happiest where he able to let loose and be himself as just Wang Yibo (the lil maknae bro 🤗)- not Wang YiBo the superstar who has built a wall around him to protect himself. Honestly I just found him and I'm so grateful. His words are really inspiring and today I needed to hear them. Not sure if everyone can see that 🦁is hurting deep inside. This is a lot to swallow for a young person to deal with. I know he smiles occasionally in front of the camera for people to see but deep own in his heart he’s hurting. You don’t need a psychotherapist or psychologist to tell you that he is hurting. 🦁always happy and smiling but lately he’s not, I wonder why? Too much pressure on him he need time to enjoy life like everyone else. All work and no play make 🦁a dull boy. Yibo follow your heart and your dreams it’s your life so live it to the fullest. I notice that too especially his appearance in public appears to carry a certain burden in his heart. I hardly see the kind of smile when he was with his bandmates during the Uniq days, these days. I sincerely hope his fans in China could give him a break and leave him space to do things that he loves i.e. skateboarding, riding and simply take a walk in the park without fans stalking or following him. Give him space and his privacy back and let him grow. He's basically still at a college/uni going age where he should be allowed to explore activities that his heart desire before he burned out from the toxicity of the entertainment industry and crazy fandom stalkers.

Well one thing that I like about yibo is his positivity no matter what struggles he had encoutered in the past. When it comes to hardships, I would add his heart condition and also that extremely sad episode during his birthday on 2018. With that being said, I have so much respect for Yibo, he is so strong, passionate, hardworking and determined, if he sets his mind into achieving something, he will endure whatever life throws his way in order to accomplish it. I am so proud of how much he's grown and achieved at such young age. He is so talented and such a fighter. I love him so much. 💚💚💚

when yibo had a sprain while he had to keep dancing because he liked it, I was really amazed. I really like basketball, but I got injured during practice so I couldn't take part in the competition, at that time I was devastated and until now I have never touched a basketball again even though I can run. The fact that he didn't give up made me think "can I play again?" Even though it's just a hobby, I really want to do it thanks to yibo for motivating me💚

They seldom fear for any hardships or difficulties. Yibo is persistent, diligent and obviously he has no fear for any hardships. My only hope is he would take a better care of him self.
