The pattern of the door of the tomb and the emboidery pattern sent by Jin's Mom were the same. I suppose they may be the same as the pattern on the Eighth King's coffin as well.. The shape of the jade obviously fit in the middle somewhere. The jade ended up to be the key to open up the coffin. That may be why the general wondered why Jin's mother would give her things like that (the jade and the embroidery pattern). In order NOT to spoil you in case you have not got to the later episode yet, someone secretly gave these things to Jin's mother, knowing that they would get to the general. That is why the general suspected that someone was trying to help him solve the mystery of the death of Eighth Prince and his family. Hope this helps:)

Love Historic Romantic Dramas. The Generals Lady is one of the best I've seen in a while. The main leads chemistry goes so well together with the story line. She's the playful side of him and he's the serious side of her. Both has certain expectations to live up too. He was never allowed to live like other playful kids and she was never taken seriously. The fun and counterpart to each other yet loving and sweet once the general acknowledges it. Yet he's slow to these feelings because he's never felt this way before.. She start to melt his heart in the first episode as you could see love at first site happen. The general can't help but fall in love with her.. None of the other wives was bold or daring enough to stand up to him and fight for they're place in his heart like Lord Jin. No matter how cunning she could be at times, He walks into her traps knowingly.. Never have I ever watched a historic drama that has a general spoiling his wife and saying such sweet romantic lines he tells her, It's so sweet it's enough to put you into a diabetic coma.. Wish we could get a season two with they're son who looks at Jin like he's a mama's boy. Let's see him with the bold fighting skills of his dad and the wit and cunning charms of his mom. Kudos to the writer.

Not only is this drama funny, but it's really well paced and it doesn't drag out for a really long time. I love that Jin confessed her feelings for the General when she felt ready to. I feel like every episode of this is worth watching because we're not brooding over the same problem for 10 episodes.
