@@hheartilly1152 The issue is that as a shojo beat manga, it doesn’t get a lot of chances to have long lasting anime compared to Shounen jump ones. The issue of catching up to the manga too fast with the schedule of releasing a chapter every two weeks to a month and making filter episodes is a no go for this genre. Usually, all shojo mangas get one season and that’s it until the manga is completed ( although rare for it to get an anime at this point. Only Sailor Moon and Inuyasha ( yes it’s shojo, why do you it has romance in it) have ever broken this but the anime completely differs from the manga sources. Fruits Basket hopefully gives some new hope as it was a one season anime in 2000 getting a new series by 2019 to cover all the manga provided.
