@@qiqi9568 no problem! as a native speaker, it's hard for me to explain the exact rule, but I think that the easiest way to find the difference might be to look for qualifiers. For example, if he said, 你很煩 (you're very annoying) where 很 'hen' means "very", or 你可以不要這麼煩嗎? (can you not be so annoying?) where 這麼 'zhe me' is "this much" or "so much", then it is an adjective and the qualifiers describe the level of annoying-ness(?). In fact, if you type a basic phrase like, "he's annoying" into google translate, you'll find that it automatically adds the 很 'hen', "very". But since he says 'bu yao' "don't" without any qualifiers, its an active verb, "don't". I hope it makes sense, being a native speaker doesn't necessarily lead to the best explanations since a lot of it is instinctual. but thank you so much for providing so many chinese vtuber clips!
