The boy is very handsome but the director instructed him to act like a Japanese comic character and he looks like a clown because he overdid it. Cherry Magic's Adachi is also like that but he still looks cute and handsome.

In real life, in what situation would an unlucky person have no choice but to kiss? Can't they be silly funny and also fall in love? It's clear that Shinomiya loves how funny and quirky Kota is. As Kota points out in this episode, Shinomiya normally doesn't laugh very much or heartily. Isn't making Shinomiya a happier person serious enough?
