This video is not a simple watercolor class ... it is a Master Class on watercolor. I love the way that Sensei Shibasaki has so masterfully explain the concepts and procedures. Everything makes it look so easy. His metaphors are very beautiful and so successful that one runs away to do what he says. I love your videos!

I have always tended towards using small plastic containers from like prepackaged fruit cups or applesauce. I never used two separate things of water to help lighten. It's been awhile since I've painted, but honestly I had never thought of it this way. I'm hoping I can get back into watercolors because they really bring me a lot of joy, and am hoping I can bring these techniques to the table. As someone entirely self taught. It's very helpful to have your videos to reference to teach myself better techniques. Thank you.

I am a naw subscriber after watching 3 very useful painting videos on the role of water and how to paint a deciduous round shaped tree, a palm tree and an elephant. I also watched you video asking for feedback from viewers and your sadness about too few viewers made me sad for you. I found your videos helpful. The tree instructions were well done and I now feel more confident I will paint them better due to details of your demonstration. The 5 minute elephant painting was a little too fast for me to comprehend the steps you showed - I will continue to watch more videos and give you constructive opinions about them. I am a new painter eager to learn from an experienced artist like yourself and am about the same age you are. After a year of practicing watercolors and doing pretty well, I know your teaching methods are good and hope you will continue to share your knowledge with those of us who greatly appreciate your generosity in showing us how to improve our painting skills. Many thanks from a grandmother in America who has loved art and painting my whole life , but working and child rearing did not allow me to become an artist until now. Please keep teaching, and the numbers of students viewing may not be as important as the quality and effectiveness of your teaching a few truly earnest people whose lives you have the power to improve. I hope your health is fully restored and you adopt positive outlook- and yes it is worthwhile to continue doing what you love so much for the people who share your passion but lack experience. Thank you.

I definitely didn’t know about the water is the same as white. I always used just one container of water (& a small amount at that... 😅) so it’s good to learn to have 2 sources of water. I also really liked that you showed that the “white” water can get a little dirty too since it’s just getting some to brighten the color. I look forward to using this for my project I mentioned yesterday! 😊👍🏽💕
