Trifold is still the best, more compact and easy to push. Bifold pushing is Uni-directional (forward only). Also, need to release the Seatpost down when putting down and move up the post when pushing else you will be bending your back. Handlebar stem is kept Low so that after frame folded magnet can secured. If your riding posture require taller handlebar stem then will need additional step to lower it before folding the stem down (if not the handlebar will obstruct the magnet. I have tried both bifold and trifold taking mrt.

I like how this bike weighs 11.2kg with disc brakes but if you take the MRT regularly with a folding bike like me, the exposed drive train will be a nightmare for you and fellow commuters. During rush hours when the train is packed, you will appreciate how a trifold keeps the chain and gears away from everyone. I can even sit down with a trifold tucked between my legs and not worry about getting grease on my pants.

@@chenliao585 It is possible to come up with a better solution, but it will not be cheap (and hence fails your definition of "the best"?). A folding bike with Gates Carbon belt and internal hub gears will remove some of the concerns I'd mentioned, but such designs are uncommon due to cost.
