노력으로 만들어진 소리ㅠㅠ 유현언니 평소에도 노력파인데 저 소리를 내기 위해서 얼마나 연습했을지 가늠도 못하겠네.. 저 커버가 21살 때 실력인걸 생각하면 지금은 더 늘었고 앞으로 발전 가능성도 무궁무진할듯

Many thanks for this and also the subtitles. I think you are correct with the assumption that this is what the international fans like. It's a perfect cover and if you aren't a native speaker it requires some hard work to come up with this result. Every time I listen to this cover i get goose bumps (it also happens when I for example listen to Yuqi's cover "Rise up"). First of all the fans know good Yoohyeon's english is. Second remark. This cover has been recorded "5 years" ago! Her singing skills got better as well as her english. The original is from the girlgroup "Little Mix" and Yoohyeon's performance basically replaces the 4 different voices of the original members. There are a lot of very good cover songs from Dreamcatcher as a group as well as individual members. Another example like this one is most likely Siyeon's cover of "Speechless" (Disney's "Aladdin" OST title song) which got the "clapping hands" comment from Disney Music under the video and which is now 3 years old. Some more thoughts about the english as non native speaker and my view on this topic [actually I'm getting a little bit off-topic here but now you've been warned]. 🙂 Siyeon's english is not as good as Yoohyeon's but I think it's better than we might think. Here and there we get a glimps of it and if she correct's herself it's quite funny as it show's that she could speak good english. Basically it's lack of training. For Dami ("The Brain") this might be the same and we also heared Gahyeon speaking english pretty well. We've seen that it's easier for them to speak english if they know the people already but I think this is also a general cultural thing (to be "perfect" in what you do and in particular if you're also an "idol"). To all of you out there: Nobody in the western world expects perfect english, german, [you name it] and you don't have to be ashamed if it's not 100% accurate! It's already hard enough if you need to get used to a completely different alphabet if you have an "alphabet" at all (e.g. Hangul vs latin alphabet; it similar with chinese and japanese signs). There are also not a lot of people that might speak your language or their Korean is much worse then your english [etc.]. I'm not a native english speaker myself but I watch all US TV shows in english. Still it's harder to come up with the correct words when speaking to someone instead of writing something down like for example this comment. I also need a little bit time to "warm up" when I have to switch to english. Once I get a little more spare time I'll try to learn Korean. At least the alphabet is quite simple. Thank you, King Sejong! From what I picked up on my KPOP journey so far is that the Korean pronunciation of words can be tricky and a slightly different pronunciation might be a completely different word/meaning. Correct me if I'm wrong, but this is what I picked up from various Dreamcatcher and other groups VLIVES (when someone was so kind to provide the english translation). 😉 I'll try my best to find out more about the Dreamcatcher members english skills when they get to europe. Maybe I stumple over them as it happend with the (G)I-DLE members three month ago in Frankfurt, Germany after the concert. You simply don't expect something like this to happen as Frankfurt is a big city and then you end up in the same place at the end of the day (and don't have the album / poster to sign with you 😥 ). 🤷‍♀

같은 그룹에 메인보컬 시연의 반응도 궁금합니다~ 그녀는 유현과는 다른 유형에 보컬로 케이팝 걸그룹 어디에서도 볼 수 없는 독보적인 보이스을 가지고 있습니다~ 커버곡만 리액션이 가능하다면 speechless를, 개인곡도 리액션이 가능하다면 paradise를 추천드리고 싶습니다~ 참고로 speechless 커버는 디즈니에서도 인정했던걸로 알고 있습니다~

the song has a back story that most international fans relate to and YH did an excellent job in how she expressed it. i think she wanted to show case this side of her vocals that she usually doesn't show, which is actually in line w/ what you said but you had a different take. DC's special clips or covers are more like presents to their fandom. they don't use it to show off their vocals or to go viral... o/c the other day they did drop "Monster" lol

항상 유현의 노래를 듣고 재능있다고 하는 평만 듣다가 숨겨진 노력과 그 과정을 알아차린 분을 보게 되어 기쁘네요. 말씀하셨듯 유현은 재능이 타고난 유형의 보컬이 아닙니다. 유현은 데뷔초부터 항상 노래가 어렵다고 말해왔고 그래서 연습을 많이 한다고 했거든요. 라이브 때 실수를 하기도 하고, 'Whistle'이라는 곡을 녹음할 땐 너무 어려워서 울기까지 했다고 해요.(그래서인지 거의 유일하게 이 곡만 아직 라이브 무대가 없어요ㅎㅎㅠ) 그럼에도 포기하지 않고 계속해서 노력하여 탈리드보컬이라는 말도 들을 정도로 성장해온 게 유현이라는 보컬입니다. 그 노력을 알아봐주셔서 팬으로서 너무 감사한 마음입니다ㅎㅎ

타고난 실력자는 메인 보컬인 시연양을 두고 하는 말이고 춤 실력에 가려진 수아양도 놀라운 보컬이고 가연이랑 유현이는 피나는 노력의 노력파이고 한동은 우리나라 아이돌 다섯 손가락 안에 드는 음색이라고 개인적으로 생각하고 다미는 랩 실력은 탑은 아닐지 몰라도 목소리는 탑이라고 생각합니다.대망의 지유는 특출 난 특기보다는 노래 춤 비주얼이 완벽히 균형을 이룬 완성형 아이돌이 아닐까 하고 개인적으로 생각합니다.

Wait till you heard.. DREAMCATCHER main vocalist- Lee Siyeon By the way... They got invited to Europe biggest music Festival PRIMAVERA SOUND 2022 for their 20th Anniversary.. Dreamcatcher was invited as the their First ever KPOP group for their line up...but sadly in S.Korea media and broadcast... Noone really speak and be proud of them represented S.Korea to attend such huge international Music Festival.

She is not a born talented vocalist but an effort genius who has continued to overcome her limitations with effort. She often talked about the difficulty of singing on vlive since her debut, and said she even cried when recording 'Whistle' because her part was so difficult. If you think she's gifted, it's because she practiced until you felt that way.

I'm sorry, but it's a realistic story. Our expert opinion is that she is not considered a talented vocalist to sing. But her voice is only possible with sufficient practice. As I said in the comments above, it's made through practice, but it's hard to practice. That's why we were amazed and praised
