When xiaoyao wanted to kiss tushan jing, I didn't get any deep emotions or tense between them, especially with xiaoyao. It's almost like she's just following a script. The script of not being in a relationship before and not knowing how truly it works between lovers and she just wants to follow what she has seen from society. The way she asked, so when can they do it again, it doesn't feel girly to me. Kudos to her acting 👏 And tushan jing's inner voice proved my doubt by saying that he wants her love, not her pity. My respect went to him at that moment cause the forehead kiss is the best in that situation. At this point, she's the most pitiful character here. She's with tushan jing cause he's a safe choice. She cares about cang xuan cause she grew up with him and that family bond, and that promise they made to protect each other. Xiang liu and her relationship lie on deadly things almost all the time like that bug inside them, feeling each others' pain, always giving him poisons she made, sucking blood, etc.. and he's like the light in a dark place that she can't see but somehow guides her to escape. + points, enjoy the scenarios together, record him, missing him out of nowhere not knowing why.

That's a good analysis. I actually find Tushan Jing has more of a backbone and sense of purpose than I had given him credit for. He's tenacious in his own way. I just hope they don't dumb her down now that she's a female. I hope she can still make her own way. I don't think Xiang liu is her light but I think she's his light.

@@violaxuan8015 I don't think his acting skill is poor, imo it might be a problem with the writing.. Actually if there's any character that I feel is executed poorly, it's Cang Xuan's. I really loved his character as a child, he felt very sincere and pure, but I don't get these vibes from his adult self. I just get some icky vibes here and there from his obsession/ jealousy towards Xiaoyao, and the rest of the time he's with an indifferent poker face, pretty much.

I agree with Xiaoyao. Just because that witch has her own opinions about Jing doesn't mean it's true. As we know and seen the girl only cares about herself. Not once has she made an effort to get to know him or care about him. She doesn't know him as well as Xiaoyao and doesn't seem to care. I also kind of understand Jing. Even though he's in love with Xiaoyao, now is not the right time for them to be together. He's still engaged to that witch and has to deal with his family. Not to mention hiding his feelings for Xiaoyao from everyone. Also, waiting until Xiaoyao shows her true feelings for him without putting pressure on her or rushing things. Accept him for him, instead of how she's always been treating him. He wants to get his life in order and wants Xiaoyao to do the same before they take the next step in their relationship.

Watching the series and reading the comments, I can see that a lot of people actually love toxic relationships, and just like people in toxic relationships make excuses as to why they remain in that toxic relationship and give their partners countless benefit of doubt, the people in the comments are always bringing up things to excuse of a lot of Xiang Liu behaviour which shouldn't be. What's the essence of fiery passionate love if it's constantly going to burn you and hurt you? Every character in this drama has their own painful experience, your painful experience shouldn't make you hurt others especially those that have nothing to do with it. He loves her passionately but he's very unstable. Mind you his love for her isn't greater than Jing's love for her, it's just that his is as hot as fire while Jing's love is calmer and softer. Why should she pick someone who is so dangerous and unpredictable, who can easily harm her just because she said something he didn't like over someone who assures her, allows her be an version of herself she likes, who's always there for her, who picks her up when the other guy hurts her. Sure she's attracted to Xiang Liu, just like y'all she's drawn to his cold personality, we all usually find ourselves liking the bad cold men probably with the idea that we can change them which at the end leads to pain instead. But she's also clearly in love with Jing, if she wasn't his engagement wouldn't hurt her the way it does and she won't constantly try to separate Shiqi from Jing, so she does love him irrespective of the fact that the Love Bug is in Xiang, he's so much safer and easier to love and she knows this and she's actually picking right.
