【Synopsis】
Sun Wukong who fell prey to the Yellow Eyebrows Monster, is imprisoned and has lost all his powers. The Yellow Eyebrows Monster who built a powerful army and set up a Life and Death Arena, transferred the spiritual energy into the mud to create the Six Eared Macaque to replace the real Sun Wukong. Sun Wukong is oppressed and at one time, falls into despair. Sun Wukong who used to fight on his own, is forced to join forces with other demons to save himself. After going through multiple failures, he gradually realizes the true meaning of the word "Great Sage".

I felt so bad for Liu'er Mihou. In the end he really did just want to feel the sun on his skin but couldn't accept that he could be happy. The subtitles are actually good and embedded in the film which really helps. I've been picking up and understanding words in Chinese here and there as well which is awesome! The makeup for him was fantastic though! I'm so glad that they actually showed he had 6 ears and stuff. Though I have to say, what's a monkey without a tail man? There are only a few of these kinds of movies where Sun Wukong has his tail. -__- It's a little disappointing but because the story and practical effects makeup is done so expertly it's easy enough to overlook it. 10/10 would watch again. I just hope I can find more like this in the future.
