Somehow, I feel like Karamatsu girls missed the point of his character and put him on a pedestal. I love all the Matsu but I am well aware of their characters and their flaws. The director himself said that Karamatsu being kind isn't for his brothers or anyone else's sake, he just loves the image of himself being kind because he is a narcissist. That is why in dire situations, Karamatsu's real personality came out and he is just as bad as the rest of his brothers i.e. hitting Osomatsu with the shell, abandoning Choromatsu when he fell,etc. His brothers fully know this, that is why they ignore him. Even Jyushimatsu in one episode said that Karamatsu is toxic for ignoring the issue with Choromatsu and running away because getting involved is a hassle.
