The difference in the gifts is so telling: the boss' gift, while sweet, is really all about how Boss feels. Mo's gift is what Heng really wanted: a toy of his favorite character. It just shows that Boss is so delusional and only thinks of his own feelings, while Mo truly knows and cares about Heng, his wishes, wants and needs. Mo is in the real world, Boss is living in a fantasy of his own creation...
