Shuya does not really truly love Yuanbao. He just hates that he lost her to someone else and now desperate to have her. Proof of this is from the previous episode where Yuanbao jump off the cliff to try to catch fhe little fox (even not nowing it's Changyan) and Shuya didnt jump after her 😅 so obviously he didnt love her enough. Changyan wouldn't have hesitated to jump after her.

But the producer seems too deliberate in making him answer questions which misleads her, as well as him avoid answering particular questions which again misleads her.
