Fun fact: Shimoda Asami released an album featuring her covers of Kagamines songs, including Daughter of Evil, Servant of Evil, and Meltdown! I really recommend everyone to listen to it, especially her cover of Rin Rin Signal

I often go to that playlist cause I just love hearing her sounding like Rin and Len. Definitely love Kokoro, Meltdown, and Rin Rin Signal the most.

I feel so vendicated that even the voice provider for Rin has trouble with meltdown. I literally sang that part after she said her throat would break without knowing what song she's talking about only for her to sing it too 😂😂

for those interested, Asapon (her nickname) has actually covered both Servant of Evil and Daughter of Evil (you can look it up). Servant of Evil is also the most popular and iconic song from the 7 Sins series if you were into vocaloid back then. It was /the/ song that blew up compared to the others. Hundreds of covers, NND choruses, animations, there was a lot back then. Its even one of Len's most popular early age vocaloid songs

Just to add to what you say in the description, in terms of popularity, I remember back in the early days of the fandom, Servant of Evil is considered the more popular one that brought the series to a wider audience due to the plot twist. In terms of storytelling, it's definitely considered the emotional one because it gave more of a perspective change to what's shown in the Daughter of Evil. Ofc Daugther or Evil is still iconic af, and in terms of listening (or playing, I don't really play PJSK anymore), I would rather listen to it, because Servant of Evil just makes me sad, not I NEED TO LOCK IN THIS IS A VIBE XD Just my theory, A GAME THEORY

Yeah servant of evil also cemented the belief that Len always dies. Except tbh, Rin dies as often. It’s just common to present both in a tragic way since they’ve got a connection and they’re kids. Perfect trauma bait.

this is just me nerding out but its rly cool to hear the versatility in shimoda's voice, at 3:03 at the "modo gaNE" (forgive me if that's horrendously butchered) but yeah, her voice had a really cool tone there compared to her tone in her cover of meltdown that she was talking about
