It's important to remember that this situation affected Arthit too. Arthit is the book example of a guy who likes girls, specifically one girl, his whole life, and then another guy comes and makes him question everything he's ever known about life and love. Arthit is scared. He's scared because deep down he knows that he has feelings for Kongbop, he's just not ready to accept them, and, most importantly, he isn't ready to let go of his one-sided love for Namtarn. It's a lot to take in, especially with all the university work he has to do. It's easy to feel sorry for Kong, and it's fair, but let's not forget about Arthit's feelings and emotions. Mini fan fiction here: P'Knot is actually gay since he answered in the survey that he has never had a girlfriend before (4:52). A shy and physically weak guy initially, he actually had had a crush on Arthit for quite some time, but never could confess to him, led a depressing life for some time, decided to give up on Arthit but still kept a tinge of hope that Arthit would realise his love for him. He does not have a handsome face (unlike Kongpob), so he decided to work out to have a nice body instead to try to match up to Arthit's good looks in order to try to gain his attention. Time passed, and his body became more and more beautiful by the day, and one day he suddenly realised that he was working out not because of Arthit, but because he wanted to lead a healthy lifestyle. He realised that the most important thing is to love and accept himself first. Indeed, he found himself having moved on, accepting Arthit as just his best friend. (That's why P'Knot knows something was going on between Arthit and Kongpob in this scene, and in the later episode when Arthit sought advice from Knot about his relationship between him and Kongpob, he did not appear at all surprised, and gave him advice straightaway)

At this point in the series, true love never runs smoothly, and so it is for Kong whose unrequited love for Arthit is being met by silence and rejection. He is so sad and dejected, while Arthit knows very well how Kong feels about him and won't admit to himself that he's attracted to Kong or that he possibly could be gay. He prefers to believe he's straight and be like his friends who already know he's never had a girlfriend. Just how Arthit will solve this personal crisis and fall into Kong's loving arms has yet to be played out.

People bashing Arthit here need to understand the inner conflict he is going through here. Yes, he is hurting Kobgpob's feelings but he himself is getting hurt in the process, trying not to admit his own feelings, not sleeping properly at night, not being himself with his friends & most importantly his confusion abt his sexuality. I admire the director so much for bringing out the nuanced character of Arthit so well. If Arthit had instantly accepted Kobgpob's love it would have been so much superficial!
