A coming-of-age story follows Yan Po Yue, a young man who is outstanding at everything yet remains a loner that doesn't fit well with the team. After surviving harsh training and difficult missions, he becomes a proper soldier who fights alongside his comrades.
Yan Po Yue comes from a family of soldiers. With something to prove to his father, he applies for military school at the onset of the gaokao examinations. During the assembly for new recruits, Yan Po Yue delivers exceptional results but fails to win the favor of his superior. He is sent to become part of the cooking crew which turns out to be a place full of people with a hidden talent.
Yan Po Yue joins the selection for a special force in the army with only his own success in mind. However, he realizes that he is still lacking in many ways and through the help of his comrades, he starts to become the soldier that he has always aspired to be.

If you are considering you should watch this or not I m telling you if you missed it it simply means you missed a great work... At the end of this drama you will cry why they end this... The actors ,the actresses and the whole team did hard work to create this great series... There's nothing you will not like it... Specially yang yang he really give himself a challenge by accepting this role and he nailed it.. I don't think any other actor can portray yan po yun role better than yang yang.... He was my favorite actor but after this I m sure he will always be my favorite...😍 a big thumbs up to the entire crew👍👍👍

I have now finished more than 30 episodes and I can assure you that it is one of the best military series I have ever seen!!! It's all been filmed with such realism and there are such superb actors, the series is so exciting and captivating, no unnecessary dialogue or anything. Its truely a masterpiece.

The reason I watched this drama because of Yang Yang, the first time I watched Vanguard I immediately liked him and just finished watching Fireworks of My Heart, as a lover of military action, I'm curious about Glory of Special Forces, at first I was hesitant to watch it because there are so many episodes, but since the first episode I've really fallen in love, especially since there's also Meng Asai and Yang Tong 🔥 I can't wait to watch all the episodes

I have only just watched the first 12 minutes, but holy cow, that's an awesome way to start a drama. Can't wait to watch the rest 👍 BWT! Love Yang Yang ❤ I finished this series within 2.5 days. It was the BEST military series I have ever watched. If you don't give this a chance, you'll be missing out. It was almost a love story; not the usual one but the love for his country, the military and his comrades. Yang Yang and the other actors did an amazing job and must have busted their butts off to make this as realistic as it seems to be to a non-military person. I almost didn't sleep while watching it; I just couldn't stop watching. Just as when you read a wonderful book and you NEED to read the next chapter (and the next and the next). I have been thinking about this series since yesterday and Yan Po Yue's story and progress/change. I laughed, I cried and got very emotional when the Cheetah company told their stories and what they later experienced together. This is a series, I will be watching again and again. Thank you to YOUHUG MEDIA for the English subtitles so people like me have a chance to watch these wonderful Chinese series. To my calculation, I believe, this is my 67th Chinese series. It has become my obsession. Please continue to produce these lovely, interesting, exiting and amazing series.
