it was sad rather than scary actually because think about it, for the first time bison is giving his whole heart to someone so of course being lied about and betrayed would hurt him and all of these coming from the person he is staring to love would hurt him even more, i bet if kant told him the truth since the beginning and explained that he was being blackmailed by that cop to bison , bison would have understood him and appreciate his honesty and find a solution together but then the plot of the serie wouldn't even exist , kant's decisons is what is driving the whole plot of this serie in the first place and it is needed for the development of this story and the characters so we will have to wait and see all the drama unfold . bison probably will lose his mind when he find out the truth by himself and then do some crazy things , he will probably get hurt first then sick some revenge against kant and then realize he cant hurt kant because he has fallen deeply in love with him . on the other hand kant is already staring to feel guilty about what he is doing to bison , since last episode we can tell he has been feeling remorseful about it and in this episode we saw that kant admitted to style that bison has him wrapped around his fingers which means he admitted he has feelings for bison already and that is the reason why he wants to end this mission quickly to not develop deeper feeling for bison more than he already is doing but he will probably fall deeply for bison anyways and try to quit from doing this mission and have some big argument with that cop and try to make up for it to bison before bison knows the truth but it will be too late and bison will find out the truth before he gets to told him , then it comes the angst for both couples entually things will get better and fixed between the two couples after some story and character development . this is all my speculation by the way based on what we are seeing of the plot.
