Funny thing is that if Jin knew the whole story of their relationship, it would only enhance his feeling that Sujin was somehow his and he lost her because of other people's actions. It's a mistake many second leads do, to be fair. They mistake childhood friends for childhood sweethearts. Sujin and him were never the latter. Just remember the beginning, marrying him was equally unwelcome choice as marrying a total stranger. She never picked him, when she could. She never saw him as a more than childhood friend. She didn't even understood why is Yu jealous of him. That's how little she saw him as a man.

She saw him as a mentor too, one who helped her when she was little to read and write, but she never saw him as anything more then a friend. Thank goodness this train wreck finally came to a stop. The two main leads were poorly written. Neither of them should have been allowed near a palace of administrative authority. The whole plot died after episode three when she denied him the truth for the third time. 34 episodes and 34 lies that never needed to go on, and on, and on, and on, and on, should have killed her so many times just for her lying to the Prince.

Not sure what was so legendary about her as the title alludes to. She started out dimwitted, graduated to an airhead and ended up being a dimwitted airhead. As for the prince, who wasted all his energy on pursuing nonsense (the dimwitted airhead) its fitting that in the end he's not in charge as his subjects deserves better. Can anyone suggest a truly intelligent Chinese drama to watch that one does not need to roll their eyes or fall over their seat every other episode?

I. agree with you 100% about the female lead character including the male lead character but unfortunately the male lead character in this show downfall is the female lead character including the writers and it's is the same is reason why I don't like the female lead character or second male lead character because the second male lead character is written as a villain and painting the male lead of the show as villain who constantly treating prince jin horrible when through the entire show I have not once seen prince Yu did anything wrong to prince jin unless prince jin provokes him and which prince jin did to prince Yu through the entire show. In fact prince Yu was written as a loving and caring person who was forced to take over the kingdom after his father pass way and was forced in marriages he never wants while prince jin and his mother plot against prince Yu and as you being happy that prince Yu no longer being in charge of the palace anymore because he isn't good at running the palace and which I agree that he isn't good at it even though he tried his best but I'm happy prince Yu is no longer in charge and left the palace because when prince Yu was in charge of the entire palace his own stepmother and evil brother and all of the officials including lots of the maids keep on plotting against including his new wife because they know very well that they can't control prince Yu or get away with manipulating him for too long because he have his loyal friend who also his body guard to help him out through personal and business stuff. With prince jin they can easily control and manipulate him into doing their bitting you can take a good look at prince jin evil male servant body guard who constantly getting away with murder and attempting murder and other evil doings that corrupted official who constantly advices him to take down prince Yu from the Royal thrown also that royal testament that prince jin wanted to prove to his mother and the Royal officials and prince Yu that he prince jin is the rightfully heir to the Royal thrown and not prince Yu but prince jin and his evil mother knows very well that prince Yu is the rightfully heir to the Royal thrown and deep down inside of prince jin knows the he isn't prince Yu brother and that the only reason he became a prince is because his mother lies about who his real father is and which is the reason why the king never truly cared about him and it's is the reason why him and his evil mother wanted to find the Royal testament before prince Yu so that they could change it and leave prince Yu with nothing.

But for me there were many loose ends. Like Sujin's parents. We never met her father and never got to see how they take what happened with their daughters. Does Suyu come back to being Suyu or she was seen by too many people and must pretend to be Sujin until death? Some backlash between the dowager and Yu. After all, she raised him and then went after his life to compensate her biological son. And what about Zhong Li? They wrapped up the romance and throne and everything else went out of the window to make room for more problems before it ends.

Well, this drama was cute. I agree with Prince Yu, Prince Jin deserves to reign. A monarch shouldn't put one's personal affairs before the nation. Ultimately, Jinyan was the key to the stability of the state. Because Prince Jin will focus solely on the country (his own name Jin will make him reluctant to pursue love). Meanwhile Prince Yu's hot temperament will be apeaced by the free roaming of the world with pure-hearted Jinyan. P.S. I liked the closure of the bunch of mysteries related to the palace (though if one is used to watching schemes in cdramas, then you could have long figured it out).

Actually personal feelings are deeply embedded in leadership and we choose to ignore. Every good leader follows their conviction. Convictions are deep personal drives and feelings that guide a person to do bad or good. Jin's conviction was in solving problems for the nation and that's why he should be the king, while Yu's conviction was in solving problems for himself, that's why he deserves to live in happiness and peace with his wife. That's the difference.....

pienso que el príncipe Yu si gobernó bien el país, a pesar de todas las trampas que su hermano el principe Jin y la princesa viuda le ponían. el príncipe Jin siempre quiso el trono , y al final se demostró. Para mi el príncipe Yu debió verse quedado como gobernante, por algo le heredó el token imperial su difunto padre el emperador. Hace falta una segunda parte porque muchos misterios quedaron inconclusos

Bravo!.. l loved this drama. Very well done. Great acting from the whole cast..never a dull moment. This is my second time viewing this one and l appreciated it more. This is one that l have saved as l plan to watch it again and recommend it to others. Good choice of matching Chen Jingke & Xu Yating for their roles Will search for other work from these two.

it was a slow moving romantic love story basic on a lot of mis understanding facts from the pass. its nice to see the first time you meet someone , you both have that special feeling toward each other, you just can't shake the feeling. thanks writers for happy ending. the cast was great. 12/11

Thanks for uploading this drama. It was good and somehow fell for all the good actors' acting. The story was interesting but it seems like they ended it prematurely. There is still a lot of important 'scenes' that they just left and fast forward. It should've 2 more episode. Anyways i enjoy watching.😊
