【ENG SUB】The Three Natures in the Mind-Only School & The Two Truths唯识三自性与真俗二谛|The Buddhist Worldview 佛教的世界观06 #buddha #buddhism #dharma
The attachment of permanence is called the constructed nature (Sanskrit: Parikalpita), which means generally perceiving and clinging both the external world and the internal universe as permanent. Ignorance leads to illusions. Therefore, now we need to eradicate the ignorance. When your understanding has reached the second level, you have eradicated part of the ignorance, and eradicated the constructed nature. This is called the dependent nature (Sanskrit: Paratantra), which is to eradicate self-attachment. When it comes to “nirvana is peace”, the corresponding understanding is the perfected nature (Sanskrit: Parinishpanna). The perfected nature is the reality of the world and the nature of all things.
Buddha’s mind can realize it. Your mind can realize this reality. This is the first truth realized by Buddha. Of course, the first truth needs to be realized with the conventional truth. What is the conventional truth? It’s the dependent nature. Generally speaking, the dependent nature is the conventional truth. “Di”(諦) means truth. The truth of the conventional world is the dependent nature. All things are of dependent nature. The ultimate truth is the first truth. The union of the ultimate truth and the conventional truth is the true perfected nature.
